My girlfriend has put a second edition set up for sale on ebay. She bought it not knowing that there was more than one version. Check it out here.

I'm pretty certain that's 1st ed., not 2nd. 2nd ed. had a grey polystrene "astrogranite" pitch.

You guys sure it's second. I was reading the designer notes and it talked about their already being a first version (I think it was one that was out and not just play tested).

Like I said before, it's definately a 1st edition set. I have a 2ed box set so I know the difference, as Darkson stated, 2ed had a polystyrene (atrogranite) pitch. It also had crappy plastic minis, not the cheap cardboard players.

1st edition was published and then reissued.
The first set was a brown box ... the rerelease was a red box. Would someone who went to Resurrection and remembers confirm this. It was one of Andy Hall's trivia questions as to whether the 1st edition brown or red was the original BB release.
Torg and Darkson are 100% correct. This IS a 1st edition set. It is probably the re-release but its definitely 1st edition.

I would buy this box and I see there is no bid so far, so I would like to have a GA on this box.
My ebay name is: marcodinatale
What about shipping towards Germany?

Not sure it's right calling a GA when a board member(or spouse!) is
selling!

Glad somebody raised this point actually. I was wondering about it myself. Otherwise I'd expect a person selling to do like myself and offer the figure up on here first. I've done this myself but had no direct responses so now we're putting it up on Ebay and I would hope no GA's to be expected as the figure has been offered on TBB
