Bad Luck Streaks
With a game with this many dice rolls, luck obviously plays some factor. I'd like to know who has had the worst strak of bad luck in a single match.
In my latest game I got to recieve in the first turn. I blitzed myself an opening in the defence and then started running like hell with my Dragon Warriors and Lion Warriors. On my first Dragon Warrior (AG 5 with block) I managed to roll a 1. I burned a reroll and succeeded to go on. On my second Dragon Warrior (block, dodge, sidestep) I also rolled a 1. Luckily the dodge roll succeeded. On my first Lion Warrior I actually managed to dodge on a 4, but on my second one I threw a... 1! No dodge, no rerolls, TURNOVER! I think three 1's in 4 dodge rolls is pretty bad! Anyone can tell me worse???

Vesticle and I have played a game where nobody but nobody seemed to even be able to pick up the ball let alone do anything else.
Still that's the way the dice roll.

The game against Diesel was Dark Elves vs High Elves. In addtion to the teams failing more than half of their pick-up rolls (all 2+), both teams suffered 1-2 deaths.
In the game against Thadrin, he's had 2 people die, and another SIed (which he used his Apoc on), and my Witch Elf killed herself on a failed block. We haven't even gotten into the second half yet.
Elves roll 1s, and die a lot. That's all there is to it, despite any 'statistics' or 'probability'.
The other games that are pretty bad are some of the Human Pub team games. Some of the people have suffered over 5 SIs in their opening game.
On my website I posted the log for a couple of my games... one of High Elves vs...Humans or Norse, I think. I was leading 1-0 at the start of the half, ready to receive the kickoff, and a blitz was rolled, and the kickoff scattered 6 squares down/left (towards my weak side, and about 5 squares away from his 2 unopposed players lined up in the wide zone). Naturally, he made a quick score, and on the next kick it rolled a "bad kick". The "bad kick" happened to scatter 7 squares to my weak side, which put it right on the edge of the sideline. Then the scatter roll moved it one square towards him, out of my reach, and very much within his. Then after a lot of failed everything by my elves, and falling down, he walked it in for another easy score.
The other was my High Elves vs my Human Pub Team, just as kind of a joke... I stopped playing after 3 turns though. My High Elf Team received the kickoff, and started the game up in players 11 to 7 after Niggling Injuries. However, my Pub team managed to get the ball and score in... 3 turns, I believe, injuring and knocking Elves down in the process, while my elves failed to do everything.

Worst I ever had was in an online game with a dark elf team.
I had a dark elf blitzer with several skills hit a hobgoblin with no skills. I had an assist, so it was a 2db.
Double Skulls
Team Reroll: double skulls
Armor Roll: 12
Injury Roll: 12
Casualty Roll: 6
Apothecary Roll: 1
Incidentally, he got the MVP after the match as well, apparently for an astounding run of the worst dice ever witnessed by everyone in (virtual) attendance. Would have gotten another skill out of it too.

Check that: my skaven do enough to stuff Vesticles attempts to score in the first half (he tried running out the clock and it backfired), but then I roll perfect defence for the second half kick off, and I currently have four players on the pitch, two of whom are prone.

Worst game ever:
Against Wood elves...I recieve. Its pouring rain.
My Runner proceeds to botch four consecutive "pick up the ball" rolls (two turns, supposedly sure hands - thats a 1 in 16 chance). Elf gets to the ball and dodges away to score.
Next kick off. Same again.
Next kick off. Touchback. I mount a pretty good drive, which results in my runner being six squares from the endzone before his last turn. My opponent blitzes two dice against but gets pushback. This means I need a GFI to score after I block the elf away. I get the block, then roll - I have a reroll left - for the GFI. I make it - TD? No. My opponent pulls out the card that drops an automatic fail on any GFI, no reroll allowed. The half ends with me 2 down, kicking and already the game is over. I lost 3-1 in the end.

worst game ever.
For some reason my norse star blitzer (now named lucky!) has a real bad habbit of falling over at the worst times in a game!for instance; Turn 8 in the 2nd half of a game against Pauls Dwarf team (who happens to have a dwarf runner that could out dodge an elf!), Lucky has the ball and needs to 'go for it' to score the winning TD. 'No problemo!all I need is anything but a 1, and i have a re-roll.' what happens? I roll a 1, and re-roll...another 1! If that wasnt bad enough I then rolled armour an injury and it turnd out that Lucky had slipd and broken his neck!
This missfortune wouldnt bother me so much but its become a bit of a ritual. Lucky has fallen and injured himself on the touch down line when 'going for it' in my last 4 out of 5 games!
IT's not fair. Some1 up stairs doesnt like Lucky very much.

Re: worst game ever.
NEVER say that. Woody did the exact same thing during our game in Amsterdam.shaniepoo wrote:'No problemo!all I need is anything but a 1, and i have a re-roll.'
Those words are like some guy in a war film talking about only having a couple of days left to discharge, or how he's got this great girl at home who he's going to marry after the war. You just KNOW they're going to get shot to shreds or worse by the end of the film.

Ah yes the verbal equicalent of wearing red on a Star Trek away mission.
I would like to crow a bout a piece of luck that I had at the expense of a mate during our last game. His Bad luck you could say.
He was trying to blitz my on-pitch spellcasting Halfling in his turn 1
(I had scored in my Turn 1 with a lovely thrown team mate after a touchback)
He placed his assists to make sure of a 3 dice blitz and then declared the blitz with his hobgob he got all the way there and had to GFI once with no rerolls to suceed only to roll a 1, Turnover. To make matters worse I then threw an inaccurate halfling who scattered 3 squares nearer the endzone/ball, picked it up and ran it in for TD #2 in 2 turns. He never recovered from laughing at his bad luck. finished 3-1 to me. his team rating had been 76 points higher than mine
he will always try and pick the ball up first from now on, he even wnet so far as to give a player sure hands on a double 5 to ensure safety. I am sure that he will drop it in the next game even with this. 3+ with a reroll he says "No problem
