To kick or not to kick, that is the question
So if you have the choice, do you always kick, always receive or what?
With my HE's I'm kicking all the time. I feel that I've got a better chance to turnover when its 11v11, than in the 2nd half when I'm 3 players down. Also I can still score with 8 players on the pitch.
In reverse, the power team feels exactly the same way, so wants to kick first too.

I would have to say that with my Dark Elves I would rather score asap and therefore would receive.
With my Dwarves it would depend upon the opposition as with a lot of guard tackle players, I am pretty sure I can soak up a lot of abuse and nick the ball and score on their drive.
With the undead I would kick and soak up before stomping down the filed slowly , 2nd half repeat for the 2-1 win
with Halflings I would receive and go for the 1 turn TD.

It just depends on my team and how I plan on playing. With my dwarves I almost always kicked. That way I could hold them off or let them score quickly and control the clock. With orcs, chaos, and undead I almost always receive so I can start the ass whoopins. Don't play elves if I can avoid it but I'd proably receive with them as with humans.

Ball control
Receiving the kick means you get first blood and they have to play catch up and you also get the last turn of the 2nd half for those amazing strip the ball & score plays.
If you're any good at slowing the opponent to a crawl than I'd say receive.

AG vs AG, i receive: it puts pressure on the other team to score.
AG vs ST, i kick: the beginning of the game is the only time i'm sure to have 11 players, and i believe it's more crucial to have 11 on defense than on offense.
ST vs AG, i kick: because my ST team wants to soften them up before receiving.
St vs ST, i receive: the one who bashes first usually gets a big advantage.

Depends on my side, but 90% of the time i like to kick, also depends on my mood
and the fact I dont like to hold onto the ball, its easier to get it from the other side I find.

If im playing a hitting team , kick. If im playing with a finesse team i like to receive. I like to receive with a finesse team to not have the hitting teams wipe the pitch with me b4 i even have the chance to respond.

I always recieve. I like having the chance to have fisrt pop at my opponents. I want to be able to take a few out early. Then later when I kick I should have softened them up a bit.

Always receive. I play a HE team and even against dwarves I don't like to kick. I'd rather see two or three dwarves down the first turn than three of my players on the bench. Besides, if I score quickly against a bashing team, they have to focus on scoring instead of beating my elves to a pulp.

It doesn´t matter that much unless there are special circumstances. I play a High Elf team and if I recieve I do a 2-turn TD in which I get blitzed once and then I kick and try to stop the other one. It doesn´t really starts to matter until you have 8 players or has suffered some horrible handicap
