Re: From the frozen lands of the north .... KISLEV
ok, i think we can change bear, the bear look like a troll without disturbing presence
so the team became
0-16 Lineman 50.000 6 3 3 8 - G/SAP
0-4 Blocker 80.000 5 3 3 8 wrestle, stand firm - GS/AP
0-2 Runner 90.000 7 3 3 7 sure hands, sure feet GA/SAP
0-2 Blitzer 70.000 6 3 3 8 block GS/AP
0-1 Bear 130.000 5 5 1 8 wild animal, frenzy, claw, loner S/GFPA
0-8 Re-roll: 60.000
Apothecary e Inducements: like Humans

AG1 Bear... I have a hard time thinking of bears as clumsy animals. They are pretty agile for their size.

I think its fine as is I can't imagine a bear doing much dodging or ball handaling. AG 2 makes a 50/50 chance of anything which I think a bear can't do that often.

I wouldn't call that an "exceptional" bear, but it's an option. They used to have a older version for Mordheim where the bear was completely "free"- no drum or chains and was posed perfectly for Blood Bowl; standing with one paw up. Kicking myself for not buying the fig when I had a chance, just to have in case.arthurinkpen wrote:http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... rod800002a
Remove the master a drum and you have an exceptional bear WITH HANDS!
Here's a link that has a photo- it also has an even more kick-ass bear that I would call "exceptional"- I don't speak/ read french??? Not sure what language (sorry, stupid American ) Does anybody know where the that bear came from, what game or company? EDIT: It's Privateer Press's line for Hordes- Brun Cragback & Lug -Minion Lesser Warlock Character Solo & Heavy Warbeast

maybe this one from Hordes?
I think the stats are too close to the ice troll. Maybe swap Frenzy for Grab, bears do a lot of that.

Privateer Press are always big. Check the dwarf next to him, he's on 30mm base I believe, the bear is likely on a 50 mm like most solos minis in Hordes

So would that put him on par with other Big Guys? Or would it still be too big?

Re: From the frozen lands of the north .... KISLEV
two considerations:
1) 6338 block Blitzer is a man of line with 6 ssp, is not something exciting
I thought these alternatives:
- Blitzer 7337 block (the base is that of the runner, but with advancements in force)
- Eliminate Blitzer and increase the number of runners from 2 to 4
2) the bear: let the bear as a mix between minotaurs, trolls and ogres
- 5 5 2 8 bear animal, loner, claws frenzy 140k
- 5 5 2 8 bear animal, loner, claws grab 140k
can go to grab the bear?
It can run the team without the men with block?
or is it better the team with two Blitzer and two runner?
thanks for any answers

I was hoping for some comment, tomorrow I do the first test match with a friend of mine ... you still have a day to help me ... What do I do? 4 runner 4 and blockers? 4 runner 2 blockers and 2 blitzers (7337 block)? 2 runner 4 blockers and 2 Blitzer (7338 block)? 5528 Wild Bear Claws Animal Frenzy Loner 140k (the only sure thing)... help me!!!!!

Waaaayyyyy too big, another big guy wouldn't even come to that bears armpit. That dwarf is also about a head and a half taller than a GW linedwarf.Tommyboy316 wrote:So would that put him on par with other Big Guys? Or would it still be too big?

Heh,
back in the day I did several versions of a Kislev team.
Never mind the actual stats, but GW did a standing bear with a handler for Mordheim.
Possibly impossible to track down by now... Possibly.

they call it a werebear, but it doesn't seem all that different from a bear to me.
