Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
I was having a play around with the spreadsheet this morning looking at average ranking per race. Nothing particularly surprising there but it got me thinking.
Is there any tournament that pitches teams of races against each other? So perhaps teams of 3 with final results then taking the average tournament ranking of those 3, add a few handicaps due to tiers and opponents faced etc. Logistically it sounds a nightmare but seems like a fun (and fair?) event.
My maths is so appalling my calculation from the NAF results placed Goblins in 1st place just ahead of Lizardmen and Halflings (ignoring the High Elf who only had 1 coach) so if anyone knows how to do this calculation please let me know.
Interestingly, the Eurobowl does approximately this, as most teams choose from the same 8-10 races (slight change this year), so you have one player of each race making up a team, and they compete against teams made up of approximately the same races. If that's what you meant...

Just seen JT-Y's Dwarfs posted on FB - I can see why they won!

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
On the races tab you have lizardman twice, one with 12, one with 1. And the total comes to 162, I think you've added an extra dwarf team to the total.

Based on my post above, I think this is right, but there might be a couple of small errors.
This is a list of the average position each race managed (rounded to 0 decimal places):

I really boosted the ogre average. (I was phanom nin)
Point of interest though, my team was set up to actually try and win (well, draw) games, while other Ogre teams are sometimes set up to cause lots of casualties.
2nd point of interest: Did having so many of one stunty team cause the figures to be skewed?
3rd point of interest: Where the hell were all these stunty team when I was fighting off hordes of Undead, Lizardmen and Orcs with just a snotling at times.
