Bigger board could be an issue for a lot of tournaments, However (regardless of size) I do like the double sided and themed board/dugouts. But the dugouts are massive!

Not having a 'full' positional team is irritating although in line with previous boxed versions. As has already been mentioned I hope there will be human/orc booster packs to sort this out. Otherwise, eBay is likely to be a bit crazy with players trying to snap up the extra Blitzers and Black Orcs

From the Star Player profiles I'm guessing that we will see models for these. It's exciting. New cards, season one, Blood Bowl website. It's all looking promising for expansion and keeping the game going.

Also if I only buy the boxed set for the transfer set it will be worth it, I hate painting numbers.

Want to say up front I like a lot of what I've been seeing. I am not a fan of the new boards just because of space at tournaments but it sounds like most tournaments around me are going to force use of old board so not an issue.

The new figures look great. I am very interested in the "Wants to Retire" rules. I have never seen retirement rules that I liked. So will be very interested in seeing what those rules are.

Yeah, it's cool to finally see a dynamic Dwarf team for a change. in WHFB they tended to be a rather dull army with no monsters or cavalry and lots of static infantry that were mostly beards and metal.

I can certainly see myself getting plenty of these, the conversion potential alone is great. Just hope they do release expansion packs with unique models, would hate to have 4 identical black orcs on a team.

With you on that one - I don't think dwarfs should be prancing around like that (and from looking at the pic it looks like more of them are doing it than just the slayers).
If there was one team that should be standing around in "boring" poses it's dwarfs.

BUT...

I have a dwarf team, and I really don't like playing dwarfs, so it would have been unlikely I'd have bought them even if they had been in poses I like. ;)

Jumping and running dwarfs, with "beardtacles" or "prehensibeards". Pass.

Wait- I've definitely heard that there wouldn't be any rules changes with the new edition (just a slow rollout of teams).

Did that turn out to be false? Or are the cards just the ones from the older editions?

No change to core rules. There are changes to some of the other stuff.

I watched the "getting started" video and was shocked there was no mention of Fouling. Where's the Foul Action? :o

That's the most interesting thing for me. Retirement/ageing rules are something I've missed for some time.

Aside from that, there's little to interest me personally. The board is too big (and not having a scatter template on the board is plain silly), the figures I don't need (let alone like), dugouts are hugely oversized. The only thing that was going to interest me was innovation within the rules (I was pretty disappointed in hearing the core rules weren't going to change, but hopefully these small additions will be enough). That said, I wouldn't undersell the value of having the game out there, recruiting players for me to play against - that's where I hope to gain the most from the release.
