Not amazed, long known fact in my family (at least for unrestricted growth feet, ie "we", always amazed about others' "stumps", that seem the general unnatural rule around)... yet they still look a bit "clowny". Or in reverse, maybe too short forearm.Saebelsultan wrote:Because feet are bigger than you think! Did you know, your feet are about as long as your forearm? Go ahead, try it and be amazed!Steam Ball wrote:Why so big shoes?
It's a clean design in general, not absurdly over detailed, with expresive faces, plausible clothing wrinkles, 6 linos, obvious catchers, etc... so the forearm, hand (sometimes huge? no wrist? thumb direct to forearm?) & feet/boots/shoes are the points that may be the "worst". Improving those would make them perfect IMO.

Whilst I (probably ) won't be getting these as I'm not after a Woodies team, I really like the poses in these models. There's enough movement and shifting of weight in the body positions to make them feel dynamic, but without it going over the top in ridiculous positions. For example Lineman 1 looks like his weight is planted on his front foot as if he is bracing for impact, whilst Lineman3 has the weight on the back foot like he is trying to spring out of the way of something. Really nice work guys.

They look great. Can you post a pic with a "lineup" so we can see how big they are?

Re: Iron Golems - New team: Wood Elves
Here come the wardancers
Either way we are delighted with the quality of the sculpts from Lucas Pina at all levels, not just anatomically. He is a true master giving expressivity and life to his figures ... besides a very nice guy
About the scale, soon we show you a picture with the size comparison not only with our previous teams but with new GW minis.
bound for glory, Wulfyn, Itchen Masack and Chaos Dwarf: glad that you like them
We do not think they are out of scale, honestly. Usually the weakest part of the miniature are always the feet (well, the ankles really) especially in player positions where only one foot is on the floor (or one foot in flat and the tip of another), so never is a bad idea to reinforce the maximum possible that zone. There is another, and maybe less important reason, that is nostalgia and a certain "homage" to Jes Goodwin and his beloved elf models.Steam Ball wrote:Why so big shoes?
Also, pictures with ruler, please?

Will the miniatures be of resin or metal?
Or will they be available in both options again?

Who managed to punch the treeman in the nuts? ST6 should mark the difference, but he looks like frozen in pain.

Re: Iron Golems - New team: Wood Elves
The campaign continues and Lucas Pina keeps sculpting at a great pace and superb level. This time it is the turn to three figures for the base team: catcher #3, lineman #7 (I laugh at your face) and thrower #2.
Tomorrow we hope to have a picture of the Dryad Star Player to show you.
