Throw Teammate Scatter Reroll
Does the same argument that allows Ball And Chain movement direction to use a Team Reroll allow a thrown teammate's scatter to be rerolled?

No, you cannot reroll the scatter roll.iamcrazyjoe wrote:....allow a thrown teammate's scatter to be rerolled

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Re: Throw Teammate Scatter Reroll
Ball and Chain reroll is allowed specifically by designer intent rather than by rules interpretation.
It's counterintuitive perhaps, when just reading the rules, but B&C reroll has been allowed for.

since Scatter is listed separately than Direction, I guess the question becomes does it allow for Doom Diver with Swoop to reroll their Direction as well, or is it just considered Scatter with different template.

Re: Throw Teammate Scatter Reroll
I've been thinking that it should be rerollable; I'm hoping it doesn't come up, since I'm the only one playing Goblins in my league and I don't want to have to try to get a ruling that would only ever work in my favor...iamcrazyjoe wrote:this one

Arguably, a Pro skilled thrower can re-roll scatter.Pro skill wrote:a Pro is allowed to re-roll any one dice roll he has made other than Armor, Injury or Casualty

That discussion predates Swoop.

Ooh, what about a pro kicker. A rerollable kick off could be pretty powerful.

Answered in the above discussion. He's not kicking "during a turn" therefore cannot use pro.

Re: Throw Teammate Scatter Reroll
This is highly interesting.
IS there a consensus on this? can pro reroll a landing scatter? And is it the thrower or the lander who needs to have it?
On a tree the first double i block and the second Jump Up, but with this change pro could be more useful than Jump Up...

Re: Throw Teammate Scatter Reroll
Galak has said (pre-LRB6) "Scatter dice are just effect dice not rolls made by a player so they cannot be rerolled..." (viewtopic.php?f=24&t=5125, viewtopic.php?f=24&t=24243)
Which is contradicted specifically for the B&C goblins. This could perhaps thus be applied to Doom Divers, but even that is arguably more of an "effect" than the Ball & Chain.
IMO, a kickoff is pretty definitively not something a player is rolling (the benefit comes from having the player on the field) and thus Pro will have nothing to do with it.
