no deadline yet - I expect that when people start reporting that they're finished then we'll see a deadline arranged.

Previously, not many made the deadline, by making it longer then there'll be no excuse for those not finishing by 31st Jan. if neccesary we can bring it up to Dec 31st But we dont really wanna go earlier than that as its supposed to be for 2004 legacy team.

If tghe general concensus is December then we'll go with that.

Suppose i'd better go for a poll ;-)

I'm not sure why it needs to be a 2004 team - each legacy team will be special and doesn't need date stamping. This will be the TBB Slaanesh Legacy team, it doesn't matter when it was finished. Also, if we do the 2004 at the beginning of Jan, you really expect people to wait a full year before doing another one?

I don't agree with the argument that doing them frequently cheapens the idea - each is utterly original and unique, even for people who've done one before. Also, those who don't win will want to paint for another to stand a chance of winning that one. Even if I won it I'd want to enter the next one, simply to contribute.

I think we set a date like the end of October, and take it to Spiky. That is PLENTY of time for people to get in on it (it's only 1 figure!!!). It's tight enough to get people motivated too. If I don't have a deadline until January then I'll start in December...

I don't believe doing 2 or even 3 a year "makes them less special" - can you imagine getting bored of discussing a new team, then designing your mini, converting & painting it, then sending it away, seeing the efforts of others then the tension of the draw? I doubt ANYONE here would get bored of that - the whole reason a "2004" TBB team was mentioned was because we were jealous of the guys who did the first one - let's admit it. These teams bring people together from around the world to share ideas and get excited about the end result together, and should be done as often as is wanted. A full year is far too long to wait IMO, and that deadline would be so far away that it'd put me off doing anything at all - I'll get at least one and maybe two TEAMS painted before January and I still think I find it hard to get time to paint. One figure can be done in a week if I push it, and certainly in 2 or 3 months. My circumstances may be different to others, but I'd doubt that anyone is THAT restricted on free time they couldn't manage to do a mini in 2 months for a team they are fanatical about creating and winning. If they were unable to finish, or paint it in time, sure;y they wouldn't have entered....

These teams are special, no matter how many are done and when they are done. If you won would you say "sorry I don't want it, there's already been a team in 2003 so it isn't special"

hell no

Have we made a decision on weither or not to use deamonettes as beastmen or cheerleaders?

I thought that was decided long ago (yes, they are on field players).

What about this: :?:
Archive Daemonettes on the pitch as "beastmen"
New, prettier, Daemonettes on the sidelines as cheerleaders...

???

But, with chaos teams it really shouldn't matter if all 3 are on the pitch because it's very easy to say these are my beastmen, let's play

I don't remember this being decided, but if it has been, my apologies. And I agree with the above statement, but I just figured that for team unity, it would look better of beastmen figures were the same for the whole team.

No need to apologize. Especially since I could be wrong ;)

I ordered my miniature after there were several posts saying that was the case. Cheerleader or player doesn't matter to me in the end :D
