Kansas City is in Kansas and Missouri both. It is a border town that out grew state boundaries.

oops, guess I should have clarified the Kansas/Missouri distinction for our Euro friends. State Line road runs down the middle of town. The western part of the city is in Kansas (Kansas City, KS) and the eastern side is in Missouri (KC, MO).
