The Juggernaut and Sideswipe skills seem quite nice, i'm less sure about some of the other additional skills on Galaks site but I would like to see a few of them be approved as experimental by the BBRC.
If i'm not mistaken though this requires someone to write a BB Mag article on them first.

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

Trouble is extra ST in 3ed is FAR more effective than it ever was in 2ed, I'd be quite happy to pick up say 3 obese players to sit on the LOS, particuarly on a Skaven team.
There the lack of MA and AG would not be a big burden and the extra ST would have huge implications.

It is a good idea to add more variety to the skills. At least, I prefer new skills rather than new teams. I think that most of us will agree that we have enough experimental rosters for the moment and so there's no need to add more. Adding new skills would be an alternative and interesting way of improving the game.

Kick-off return should become official. Sideswipe is good too. Perfect spiral would be a good passing skill.
But I dislike the Juggernaut skill, and have some reservations some other presented skills.
And if mutations would become random (which I doubt) then Obese and other nifty mutations could be added.

Really? I think Tackle and Sure Hands are some of the most important skills for a winning roster.grotemuis wrote:I think the game needs more general skills. After block the choice gets really limited if you're not rolling doubles

Im not sure i agree. We have dirty player, pass block, pro, shadowing, strip ball, sure hands, tackle. Thats 7 without any doubles. DP, pro, sure hands are all very useful to any team. Tackle, shadowing, and strip ball are useful for many teams. Pass block is the only one of limited usefullness ,i cant see ever giving anyone that dint have an ag increase on an orc team the skill. In fact the teams that can gain from PB most are the ones that need it the least in most cases (elves). However for skaven (gotta love a foul app gr with it), its most likely the team will have at least 1. Shadowing is probably the least used one, and i would love to have it on a few lineman on a skaven team as 2nd skills. No i think the list that needs new skills is st, it only has 5 non traits.

I exagerated a bit.
but kick is a one of thing. Strip ball is usefull for one or two players, same goes for shadowing and sure hands.I think pro isn't the skill it's cranked up to be, it's certainly usefull but not a serious tactical gamewinner
For the simpel lineman after block and maybe tackle there isn't that much solid skills to choose from.
