Maybe the 6 tacklers on his team, has also limited the amount of Dodge taken in the league. "eh, Why bother with dodge, SBG has 6 tacklers. won't do me any good." Not much need for tackle if there is no dodge. So the real question is, how many people have dodge in your league?

Er this isnt my team Asperon.
The League i'm in has 2.6k players,
Dodge is an obvious choice if there is one other tackler, I say SF is better in a more hitty league.

:o

I remember doing the maths on a recent ECBBL season. With most teams in the 150-200 TR range every team had at least 2 tacklers and the average was 4.

I think having at least 2 tacklers on a team is absolutely vital to stopping your opponent scoring.

I know that if I'd be playing something else than CD's or Dwarves, I'd have more tacklers on my team! But what can I do, they don't chosse it! So the better I'm off!

I'm also the only guy with more than 1 Strip Ball on my team!

To answer your question: 12 players in the league with Dodge, including 2 on mine.

I have to agree with the Dodge choice. That being said, Stand Firm would protect you from having the ball stripped out, and it'll be a while before you get your hands on another skill roll for him to grab sure hands.

That being said, you really can't go wrong with either. Just depends how you want to use him.

Don't want to be lawquoting you Matsu, but on a push back result (the arrow), even with SF, you get stripped of the ball.

You sure on this? I am only a humble rookie, but reading these bits from the LRB...

Stand Firm: "He may completely ignore 'Push Back' results..."
and
Strip Ball: "A player with this skill forces any opposing player that he pushes back to drop the ball..."

...says to me that SF cancels SB, since it "completely ignores" the result. Is there an existing ruling that I'm missing?

page 34 of the LRB2

3. Some skills refer to pushing a player back in order
to work. These skills will work as long as you roll a
push back on the Blocking dice.

That is what I think the answer to that.

Although I would really like Stand Firm to neutralize Strip Ball, I don't think it does.

SBG is correct. Only Sure Hands negates Strip Ball (well, and not getting hit in the first place  )
