RSF/RSC or instead you could consider Stand Firm; you'll never be pushed of the sidelines and you can try to dodge freely without getting a Turnover

RSC no question about it. You will get then enxt skill faster, and THEN pick block. So for the long run RSC is the best skill, for one last game block is safer.

Spikes!

Sorry I'll get my coat....

Seriously, AV9 Rat Ogre? Not to be sniffed at. You say you use him as backfield defense? Then give the boy Tentacles and harass the ball carrier. If you want to use him in an offensive roll you can't go far wrong with RSC's. You want a bit of both? Sorry, can't help you there

Maybe waste the double on Pro, might get you out of trouble with WA at times.

Maybe side step too.

As RO effectively can't dodge (by my interpretation of the WA rules) SF isn't any better the Side Step, which means of course that you may be able to reposition yourself more advantageously than staying in the same place.

Ooohh I like it. SS would make him a nightmare around the LOS if you're brave enough to use him there.

Well, except that the best way to take advantage of a Rat Ogre on the line of scrimmage is to force him to take bad blocks - not to block him.

Tentacles would make him a great backfield safety, but do Skaven really need to have their slowest player take on this role?

But aren't all WA natural safeties? Especially the Rat Ogre with his prehensile tail.

If a player has RSC and Piling On, I tend to think of him more as a linebacker. He's not in the far backfield, but he's not on the line either. Against high strength opposition, he does need to hang back - but with regular strength teams he can rip people apart.

Diving tackle with Prehensile tail would make him pretty mean.

I'm a shitty skaven coach so I'd probably go with Xtra arms.

Hi, I have a problem with my rat ogre who finally made his cas to go along with his mvp. The problem? I rolled 12...

My team after 3 games
3 GR 1 has dauntless
2 Strom Vermin 1 has guard
1 Thrower with accurate
5 Linemen no skills yet 2MNG...
1 Rat Ogre -Rolled 12-
3RR
9FF
20k waiting for 30 more to finally buy that apo (lost 2 players)
Can buy it cuz I have 110k but I prefer the 2nd SV and wait 1 more game rather than apo and lineman...

So I can
-Take the ST increase
-Give him Claw or RSC
-Leader
-SF  hum...

Next game is vs Skaven with RO too...

What would you do?

I'm not thrilled about the idea of giving him +1ST. I guess the agressive route of Claw is good for his cas ratio but being a conservative coach Leader is really appealing too...

Why didn't I just rolled a skill for him and the double for my thrower instead...

+ST is great. Do not complain at all.

Basically ST 6 makes it much harder for anyone to swarm him for the easy turnover.

In your next game just put your ST6 RO next to his S5 RO, and laugh

I don't complain about getting a 12! In fact I'd love to get more of these :D

Just that it would have been better to have a ST 4 thrower and a RO with block than a thrower with accurate and a ST6 RO.

St 6 means he is less of a liability (harder to make him take a 1/2 dice block and force a turn-over), and that can only be a good thing. PLus you get two dice facing other big guys.
