In all honesty... mostly meh....
#14: I actually own this mini... good enough to put on the sidelines....
#10: The surpriser... how did I never get one of these?! Overall nice looking... and worthy of being the coach!
#2: The only model I might would paint just to have.... Though Helldorado figs are better....
The rest are honestly a pass.... If this is the best GW thinks they have, no wonder they're in trouble....
And what's up with that ugly-arse, BB 3rd edition lookin', Skaven #24..?! Second Edtion BB Skaven are possibly the best sculpts ever... though, I guess, they don't really count for purposes of this "contest"....
Top 25 Warhammer miniatures of all time.

Would explain a lot - shame they don't still produce the decent catalogues. Some of our older models didn't do as well as expected – whilst some modern miniatures did better – which we put down to the fact that many of our staff are younger than some models on the list!
Then why call it "Best of the Best"? I suppose "Favourite of the Favourites" doesn't work so well.Remember, we're not looking for the best sculpted model or the most powerful gaming piece – just your favourite – whether it was your first model, a character fondly remembered, or perhaps a model once owned and sorely missed.

GW should look hard at this sentence, its put up a red flag in my mind about the entire way that GW operates. They sound too proud of this fact, where as they should be ashamed. Some of our older models didn't do as well as expected – whilst some modern miniatures did better – which we put down to the fact that many of our staff are younger than some models on the list!
Rule 1: Know thy history and product.
ftr, before I lay into the remaining 12 models I actually quite like a couple of them on the list. But for the most part it's clear that the GW staff... have no taste.
12. The Emperor, Karl Franz - "Its sad that GW retconned the failing, retarded, mutant loving Karl Franz into this attrocity. It looks like Native American meets platemail in something I like to call Steam-Indian-Punk."
11. High Elf Prince on Dragon - "It's very clear the Dragon is most unhappy about his sissy head gear. They might look like ponces, but High Elves certainly know how to motivate their steeds."
10. Skarsnik & Gobbla - "Skarsnik was most dissapointed when his squig balloon turned out not to be filled with helium."
9. Shaggoth - "With a name like Shaggoth I expected to see tentacles and horror from beyond the stars. Not a gimpy Dragon-Ogre. How on earth does this guy walk?"
8. Valten, Exhalted of Sigmar - "I can't even be sarcasticly positive about this model, it's just terrible. He appears to be mounted on a high elf horse, dressed in the worst cos-play outfit ever and his hammer is just completely and utterly incorrect. You wouldn't be able to wield that in battle as it would just bend when you hit someone."
7. Dwarf Lord - "Ignoring the obvious rip-off of a Jes Goodwin sculpt this model continues the main theme of GW Dwarfs. Which is 'Dwarfs like penises'. Seriously, look at the design of that axe, look where it's pointing. I don't know how anyone can take GW Dwarfs seriously when there's such a YMCA vibe going on there."
6. Heinrich Von Kemmler - "Or as I like to call him, 'Heinrich goes to the beach'. He has his bat shaped parasol, a skull bucket for sand and he's just lost his spade. Perhaps Shaggoth took it from him. Poor little guy..."
5. Wood Elf Lord with great weapon - "Once again we enter the world of bewildering Elf gender issues. Man, Woman, both or neither? Only the little blue guy can answer that question as everyone knows Wood Elves fight commando."
4. The Green Knight - "Bretonnian seaweed knight ahoy!"
3. Chaos Dwarf Lord - "I was originally going to celebrate that finally this was a Dwarf not doing something homoerotic. Then I noticed he was pumping his axe... "
2. Be'Lakor of the rubbish name - "What the hell is going on with his abs?"
1. Archon, Lord of the End of GW - "Isn't this just Crom (#25) on a spikey horsie with a cape? Is he like Super-Sayan Crom or something?"
