Trimming the fat II: Dark Elves

Many thanks for the advice on how to trim my Necros to a tight 1350 TV. I'm confident that this team will punch well above its weight in the new year.

Now on to a more advanced project:

Murder City Black Wings

Note the odd number of rerolls and Team Value are due to the team's current possession of the Grubby Bowl, a mid-season tournament which awarded the team an extra TRR usable once per game (not half). It's therefore accounted in the TV as worth 1/2 a normal TRR.

The rules for cuts are as follows:

1. All teams must be 1350 TV or less to participate in the 2012 season. Released players are replaced with a rookie of the same type for free. You may ditch Rerolls, Cheerleaders, Fan Factor, etc.

2. The XTBBF will be charging each existing team entering the 2012 season a small registration fee - that is, all of your money in the treasury minus 50k. The XTTBF Commissioner's Office needs to upgrade the jacuzzi.

Thanks in advance for your help. This is my first Blood Bowl team, so I have an emotional attachment to the players and their careers, so could use a cool appraisal to help me slash!

Interesting league idea. Haven't done any calculations but you need to cut the AG3 witch and probably also the double niggled blitzer, then the cheerleader and ass. coach and a lot of fan factor if not all.

Doing some quick calculation: I cut coach, cheerleaders, apo, the Grubby Bowl reroll, reduced FF to zero, fired the Ag3 Witch and the double niggled Blitzer... but it's not enough, since you have only 12 players and cutting two you need to rebuy at least one to get a regular 11 (wo)men roster.

You have to cut a RR and the Wrestle Line, too, and rebuy 2 linemen: this way you reach 1340 TV.

A scrawny, risky team, with 2 rr, no apo, 1 witch and 3 blitzers...

mmm... not sure about it. That nice Runner is starting to look overweight

Oh bugger, missed that #7 wasn't there... Hmm tough one, then probably get rid of the wrestle lino and apo. Then cross your fingers until you can rebuy him.

Thanks guys, I know I'm going to have to make deep, heartbreaking cuts to this team but my big dilemma was whether to try to keep an extra player or not by ditching the Apo for one game (we're allowed to keep 50k in the bank so it's a guaranteed buy after Game 1). I think I'm going to have to take the risk.

I made some pretty high-octane choices, keeping the mutated Runner instead of rebuying a fourth rookie Blitzer. I'm also running without an Apo for the first game, but I feel it's worth the risk to keep one of the Big Four (Butler, Banks, Hollander and Mead). With a ton of tools in the toolbox, this team should be able to do some damage in the coming season.
