Do you play Warhammer or 40k?

Post by Zombie »

This might have fit better in the Off topic forum, but there are two reasons why i thought it would be better put here :

1. We get a bigger and better sample of Blood Bowl players here.

2. Playing warhammer will undoubtedly affect your vision of Blood Bowl and how it should play, so it's relevant to General chat.

How about used to play 40k stopped when my army got ruined in the edition change and prices got stupid but if i could afford it i would probably play again and would like to play warhammer but it also is too expensive.

Though as I don't use it as a connection to blood bowl I don't think its relavant, in my case at least.

Play 40K. Used to play Warhammer, but can't convince myself to re-mortgage and buy an army.

That is a very long sentence where I do agree with (apart from the 40K bit, haven't tried that one)

I've played both in the past, but not for several editions.

Never played either. Only know they exist because of BB. Don't really have any interest either. I only have time for one addiction. :)

Neither... Warmaster.

I haven't played for a couple of months but I do play 40k.
I also play:
LOTR
Warmaster (when possible)
Inquisitor

And I have played:
Warhammer
Epic 40k
Warhammer Quest
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I want to get back into:
Battle Fleet Gothic
Necromunda

Oh and I also play Bloodbowl :)

Like many of my countymates ('Mer'cans), I play 40k. I think that it's a very fun game still, and I started back in the Rogue Trader days. The one possible drawback is the amount of very young players, but that's true for many, many of my hobbies (games). I guess I just have a thing for round bases...

Used to play 40k, Warhammer, Necromunda, Space Marine (with square infantry bases) Space Hulk, Advanced Heroquest and that's all I remember. Stopped playing Games Workshop stuff when it became all colourful and kiddie friendly in the mid 90s with big cartoony orks and sugar won't melt in the Emperor's psyker vampiric mouth, coupled with the ludicrous price for minis. Lack of support for certain lines also annoyed me. How many rewrites of Blood Angels history do we need? Release some bloody squats!

I also found 40k, Warhammer and Epic became pretty dull - too long to play and too samey unless you are independently wealthy and hire an army of mini painters.

Best GW games - Blood Bowl, Space Hulk, Adv Heroquest all the others hurl chunks in my current opinion. Though Necromunda has always had potential but needed some balancing.

I play them all, I am a GW whore.

Warmaster in particular is an awesome game. 40K is good fun, haven't played much WFB in the last while.

Never played either, just BB (have played other GW games like; Talisman, Space Hulk, Dungion Quest, etc, etc)

Let's face it Blood Bowl blows all other GW games away (Warhammer just blows).
