Pass Block on a Gutter Runner???
I have Skaven Team with two Skaven Gutter Runner I want to develop the same way.
They have both AG5 and Leap, and one of them got his third skill. I'm not sure if I should give him pass block as his AG allows him to Intercept at 4+ but in our league they do not pass that much (Orc, Chaos, Dwarf, Lizard, Human, Delf) and I' reluctant to move my gutter runner in open spaces where they can got squished after their pass block move.
How do you use pass block? Is it good? Any other skill choices (Block comes to mind but it's boring and I do not want go the sprint/sure feet path to 1-turners)
thanks

pass block can be devastating, but...
well, the primary goal of it, imho, is to put tacklezones on the thrower/catcher. interceptions are secondary. and as such, it might be considered a less then optimal skill for an ag 5 player... especially if afe throw is prevalent...
I'd just give that one block, probably, keep him alive a little longer. or sure hands, to pick up the lose balls in tacklezones.
and develop two separate "regular" block/passblock GR

Give him pass block- and you don't necessarily need two players with PB, because it doesn't sound like much of a passing league. Use the pace of the skaven to your advantage and you can really mess with his ball carrier on defence.
You need three elements:
1. A player with kick
2. A fast blitzer type with block and strip ball
3. Your gutter runner with PB
The plan goes: hoof the ball as close to one of the back corners as possible. He sends a couple of players back to get the ball or at least cover it.
Then you send your blitzer through to scare the ball carrier. Put the PB gutter runner in a bit of space, covering his main passing options.
This will force him to play the ball- either to run with it, leaving him exposed to your strip-ball blitzer, or pass it over your PB rat, or try to defend it while trapped in the back corner of the field. With your fast boys closing in on him, he's more likely to panic and make a mistake.
Pass block can limit his options, and stops the cage forming too quickly. It works best as a deterrent rather than for actual interceptions!
