Captains room
Hi there guys. This is the forum where I´ll advise you guys for anything about the Eurobowl 2012 - and if you have some Q´s that you can´t find the answer to (and you believe it might be helpful to others) or ideas for the EB homepage that isn´t on yet.
This thread is for captains only - IF you have an opinion tell your captain, find the correct thread to post it in or PM me - non captains or administartors (DK) writing here will have their message deleted.
Sorry but have to keep this one neat and easy to read.
So first up a poll that´ll expire 26th of september.
Take note that at some time in the future you captains will be asked to fill out a form with your country´s teams. That way the administrators can check out the teams in advance and make sure there´s no mistakes in the build ups - as well as have everything ready for print
I have no access to these as I am the Danish team captain and should get no advantage there
The homepage with all the info in it http://www.eurobowl.eu
Make sure you read and understand the rules - the responsibility is yours after all
For those of you who´ve been in long enough to remember... The stats for the very first Eurobowl in 2003 can´t be found it seems - we´d be glad if you´d ask in your "backyard" if they know/remember
Finally are you interested in meeting friday at the venue and then make a trip to Copenhagen city to see the city´s nightlife?
Just a rough estimate to know how many people we can expect when we look for a place to be at
Looking forward to be seeing you all mates

Voted that thing with the rat. Eurobowl is fun both playing that silly game and socializing. Saturday evening will be time well spent regardless.

Re: Captains room
I'm a bit reserved about the 4th match of the day, but it is fine if we decide play it.
Mepmuff said it well. The time is well spent whichever is decided, but ~12 hours playing can be quite taxing and could lead players being too exhausted to socialize afterwards that evening.
And for the other question, team Finland (at least the finns in it, hopefully our freebooters too) are eager to join your company in Friday at venue and Copenhagen city.

Re: Captains room
My train arrives in Copenhagen mid-afternoon on the friday, so I assume I'd have time to get to teh accomodation, drop my stuff off and then go out again.
As regards the 4th game - the Scots are polling via Email what we think atm.

Welsh are relatively split for the extra game, but favor the extra game.

Re: Captains room
The Germans would prefer socializing instead of a fourth game as well.

I won some impressive titles in 198X, some more in 199X, even more impressive titles in 200X, some of them REALLY impressive, and a few even MORE impressive! Not to mention a lot of less impressive ones.

And more to the point, we will not have a full team in the evening as 1 of our players is travelling to/fro Sweden.zulu wrote:The Scots would rather be social than play an extra game.
