I just like to have 16 normal players for a team, plus what else I may need

There can only be one booster per race, that's the criteria we're looking at.
I actually don't think Chaos is bad as it is, a box and a booster gives you 4 CW, 9 Beastmen and a mutant. With a BG that leaves 2 beastmen to pick up to fill out the roster, and is perfectly playable as is. A lot of boxes and boosters will still leave you the odd lineman still to pick up for a full 16. I don't see that as as a major problem personally. Besides, dropping the mutant means you could only get them at all via MO.

Didn't know that, never seen that either...

Well, if you're going to use MO then you can easily order your exact preferences anyway by ordering single figs. The thinking is that you can go into your local GW store and buy a team box and a booster without a) superfluous figures or b) which better compliments the boxed team than the existing.
Actual availability over the counter is a whole different subject which is way off topic here.

Well, I thought that the Boosters and Team Boxes were only available through MO anyway and that the Boosters were there to help Rookies/Moms buy the "right" stuff... My Bad.

I've gone into my local GW store (and the other nearby one) and been told that they won't stock BB stuff (or any Fanatic for that matter) To be perfectly honest, if I have to go through MO to get a team, I'm more likely to order the individual figs, just to make sure I get the particular thrower / blitzer / whatever fig that I want, rather than buy a booster where I'll have to get pot luck. Now, if they stocked boosters in shops, and I could browse them, I would certainly want them set up like you lot are working on

As I understand it, what each GW store stocks is down to the individual management. The reason there can only be one of each race is simply down to shelf space.

Again...
