new orc team

On Defense, I put a Troll and usually 2 lineman, sometimes 2 Black Orcs just depends, but never more than 3 players on the LOS on defense. Most players figure out how to get 2 die blocks on all the players on the LOS and I would prefer that I have nore more than 4 players on their backs at the beginning of my turn.

On offense, I make sure that I mark all the players on the LOS with Black Orcs unless my opponent loaded up the whole line. In that case, I just load up one side of the line. I use the guard blitzers between Black Orcs so I can still get 2 die blocks on everybody.

I also like to blitz a black orc down the wide zone and knock a player next to the sideline. You wouldn't believe how many people won't stand that player up or will blitz with that player to make sure he doesn't go in the stands to sign some autographs.

On my blitzers, unless there is a real dodgy team in the league, I start all of them out with guard, 2nd skill for 2 of em is tackle and 2 of em is strip ball, and 3rd skill is Mighty Blow. After the 3rd skill then it's just whatever suits your fancy.

Quite agree. I've found guard to work nicely for me. My guards seem to be always in the middle of the action. Tackle and strip ball are very good 2nd skills. After the 2nd skill, I began to specialize the players.

3 Bobs with block and guard are an extremely effective los.

Very true. It has taken me a very long time for my BOBs to get that bloody block, but next I want to give them guard.

in the past i have used line men and hoped for doubles to get guard, bought them block and then got some specialist skills for them such as leader, kick, dirty player etc.

i have saved the blitzers for skills suck as tackle, MB, strip ball etc.

i suppose i have seen line men as a defence and blitzers as an attacking force.

thinking now i can see the benefit of having the blitzers in the thick of the melee all assisting each other and you don't even have to wait for doubles in order to get that guard. love the idea...

will have to give that some serious thought, do i go for MB, over guard???

difficult one that, or do i go for the first 2 blitzers guard and the second 2 guard. definate toughy. thanks for that one boyz (and girls)

In 8 games, I already have 2 lineman with Block and 1 of em is a casualty away from his 2nd skill which will be kick unless I roll doubles and then it will be guard.

I have 3 blitzers with 2 skills and the 1 within a TD of his 2nd skill. I have 3 with guard, 2 with MB, 1 with tackle and 1 with dodge. I would have taken MB if it wasn't for all the elf and lizardmen teams in the league.

Unfortunately,due to my lack of causing casualties, I only have 1 black orc with any skills and he has 2. Block and Piling On. He usually blitzes down the sideline on offense and is a stopping point on the sideline on defense.

My troll has played 2 games and has a casualty in each and my thrower has 9 completions and has accurate. Next skill is Block unless he rolls doubles and then it's strong arm.

My record is 5-3. And 1 of those games was a fluke. Damn wood elf player got a blitz on me for a TD followed up by a Pitch Invasion that hit 6 players, all my black orcs and 2 of my blitzers. Put 3 Black Orcs in the dead and injured box along with a blitzer. Another blitzer in the KO box and then stunned the 4th Black Orc.

I run the other orc team in the league nermal is about to join!
i started with;

3 Blitzers
2 Blockers
1 Thrower
6 lineorcs
3 Re-Rolls
5 FF

I plan to keep this team pure orcs, and i decided to start with 12 players,
I've recently added a new thrower and an apothocary, I'm down a blitzer and a lineorc for the next game.

I always prefer starting with someone on the bench!
