Sorry, but i don't really see a reason for all this hurry suddenly. The first team was ages late, but when i talked about setting a hard deadline 2 months after the orginial one i was told i was too structured ...
For the NAF team, the draw was a month after the deadline and that's ok imo.
Now with this team, i don't even get time until Nov 31st to finish the mini, but it even has to arrive before.
I would have finished my mini at the weekend, but i'm not sure i will be able to post it on monday and if it will make it in time across the channel. Under these conditions -i'm sorry- but i'll have to drop out then. If you change the thing to the original "have to be finished at 31st, but maybe in the mail for a week", i don't have a problem.

McDeth any chance of a mailed by January 31st rule instead? I'd hate to see folks lose out on the chance to participate.
(Mine was mailed today via air mail and should be there within a week)

I'd be keen to say leave the draw till a week after to let any entries in that are late, but a month is far too long in my opinion. I had always believed the deadline for recieving minis was end of january and not the deadline for finishing painting, I'm not sure about others. But at the end of the day I think we have to close this thing down within a week of Jan 31st and start planning the next otherwise we will fall into the same old trap as the last one.
Maybe we need to set some specific guidelines for the next one and put them at the top of a sticky post?

I'm happy to set a mailed deadline by 31st January its only just over a week away, just means delaying the actual draw for a week or so
PS I may be wrong and i'm not gonna go through pages to check, but i cant ever remeber saying that the deadline was completed by 31st, it was always received by me on 31st. Still Nevermind posted will do
