Why are 4th ed rules so hated?

A stupid questions of the newb that i am !!

I know what is the third edition but what is the difference between 4th edition and 2001 edition

And where i can find the 2001 edition ???

I replied to this in another thread. 2001 ruleset is more or less the same as the Living Rule Book (LRB).

I loved 4th ed, so did everyone in my league, and most coaches in Blood Bowl Central. 4th ed was definitely not "universally hated".

Welcome Zombie good to see you here. I think you will find talk blood bowl to be much more civilized then BBC was.

hmmm ... civilized .... yes .... civilized through heavy handed moderators.

The BBC reached the point were it was so uncontrolled it melting from its own flames. Now look at it ... its a site mostly for folks to ask it TalkBloodBowl is down.

The moderators of TBB are a lot of the folks from the Locker Room who vowed that this place would be different and we've deleted and locked threads to keep it that way and so far its working without being a big brother atmosphere.

Glad to have you Zombie ... hope you can play in this environment.

The problem with that place, as much as all the bitching and personal attacks that went on, was the fact that - being hosted by ezeboard you get bombarded with excruciatingly irritating adverts, mostly for online casinos.

It used to be THE place to talk blood Bowl. Now that title has moved to this board, and BBC is practically dead. I feel a bit bad for Andy Welton, the guy who runs it. Seems like a good bloke.

The problem totally disappeared if you installed Popup Stopper, or one of the dozens other little apps that do the same thing, or if you simply turned off javascript (very easy to do in Netscape).

How was the initial comment deleted? I still see it: "as much as all the bitching and personal attacks that went on". I explained in my post that it was only true for the last couple of months, and you deleted that! YOU should play fair as well.

Nothing wrong with the comment that "bitching and personal attacks" were a fairly regular occurence on Central, and you were quite right in that they certainly occurred with increasing frequency, with the result that an awful lot of people stopped going there for that very reason.
The deleted comment was inflammatory. The 'initial' comment you refer to is a fact recognised by the vast majority who frequented Central at that time.
This isn't the place for ego clashes and flame wars. Take it off board if you must.
Simple as that.

It was an observed fact just like his. I didn't put a cause and effect relationship in there, i only said that the two events occured at the same time. How can you deny that?

Deleting my statement and not the original one is playing favorites, simple as that.
