Right, I'm with Galak on this one. I don't like the change being made without any real notification.

I also don't like everyone assuming I'm some kinda weirdo because I played it that way. I kinda got some "OF COURSE it doesn't matter if they took part in the game, why would it?!" when as Galak pointed out that what it used to be in the VERY recent past, and no public announcment of the change was made.

I also think that it's a dumb rule. How can a player be an MVP if all he did was ride the pine?! But it's pretty minor...I don't really care about the ruling itself, as I said.

It doesn't bother me either way. Heck, my guys who I just put in for one play to say I "used" them (league rule) oftentimes get the MVPs on my time...I don't complain, that's just how it is. :D MVP is random. Sometimes it goes to the most useless player, oh well.

If it helps, think of it like this: Its not the player who played best in the match, its the player who learnt most from the match. That could then easily be some guy who sat in the reserves box all game, watching and picking up pointers. Like Aging, MVP is just a conveniant name.

true thadrin, that the way i think of it too, like i said in another post, the only thing to do is not to call it mvp but "(something) improvement" then it s possible any player receive that improvement.

The way we play is that any player can get an mvp if they step on the field at all even if they die durring the game. Even star players get MVPs

Never seen an official rule saying anything about star players geting MVPs? Can they?

thank

I'd agree - the possibility of losing the MVP award for the game to some freebooter is one of the risks you take hiring the git in the first place.
