Woody: I have a request. When I get my Black and Gold dice (a little unfortunate that. "Black and Gold" is a "no-name" brand in Australia ;) ) could I please get dice that don't roll lots of skulls. Or any for that matter.

In fact if you could see your way clear to forwarding me a set of loaded^H^H^H^H^H^Hblessed dice I'd be grateful.

Looking forward to clawing my way to the top 10 for at least 5 races....

Marcus

PS: I was going to post a rebuttal to Toby here but I think I'll just go discuss historical dialectics with the brick wall outside. More constructive.

I'll second that! :(

Actually, Lucy was recently talking about organising 2 Dutch tournaments a year..

1 official and tickets for sale, NAF approved etc etc

the other by invitation only and more for fun, drunken debauchery, etc etc..

just to give you some advanced notice.. ;)

Two Amsterdams per year

Post by BigD »

Okay. Now I like that idea completely. Just a bit of notice and we should be right. We need to come back for more shopping anyway and another tournament sounds like a GREAT idea. Reckon you can probably count Spyke and myself in.

Any who's coming to the Spyke Tournament? Also would anybody in or around London be interested in a weekend tournament come December this year? I'm looking into it but it'll probably be in West London if theres enough interest. It may be a bit close to the Spyke to generate enough interest but if you're keen let me know.

Norse, BigD: I'm always up for tournaments, time permitting. I'm well up for any further Amsterdam tournaments. Can we have it at Cafe Legendz again?

I'm down for the Spyke tournament, have to send off a cheque next week. I've also agreed to help Woody with some scorekeeping etc. I've also got to try to get my deadies painted in time so I don't have to borrow Norse's again

Oh well, could always coach some Skavs I guess.

No problem with having results between NAF members counting for rankings in a small invitational, they just won't have as much impact as larger tourneys.

BigD: We'll get our heads together on this. My local has a pretty large function room ( could probably hold 15 to 20 games/boards) that I can get for free. Me and Del keep meaning to get down the EC for a chat and a jar or three, come along and we could talk to Haggislad about this as well.....I'd like to have a go with the WPS format, looks pretty well sorted for smaller events...

Sounds like a good idea. Come on down for our start of season meeting. Once the weather gets colder and the business at the EC drops off, Haggislad gets his life back and we get a bit more space for games. We can put our heads together then and see what we come up with.

If you only knew of the number of people that are working on this then you might not be so quick to say that. As one of those people I can say that I'm in for the long haul. I've tried the rest and this is the best.

As for people not traveling to play BB you are once again showing your lack of actual knowledge about the Blood Bowl community and the people who play the game. I 'm from Montreal and I just spent the weekend in Toronto with the TBBF. They are a fantastic group of people. One of them was even kind enough to let me stay at his house while I was there. That is what this is all about my friend. People meeting people. Forming friendships. Playing across the board, face to face, playing with bitter ferocity and then laughing about it over a pint when it's all over.

You have your opinion and you seem to believe in it, I respect that. But please also respect that there are not many others here who share that opinion and not belittle something that your not even iterested in being part of.

I can see it now...a parody of our "Uncle Sam Want You"...Big Stinkin' Ogre, bony fingur pointing at me, one eye blind from a scrum..and beneath: "Da NAF Wantz YOO!!" Ok. I'm ready to sign my life over to this rising super power. :smoking:

I would be 101% excited of your project if there was actually a way to play.

Tell me again when you run a tournament in Munich, or have invented beaming like they do in Starship Enterprise. nuff said.

And i could paint my dice on my own if anything Blood Bowl related was sold stores in Germany...

BigD's suggestion of having different colour dice as per your favourite race might be an interesting twist.
I definately want gold dice for my Dwarfs....
