I have also played an Ogre team using old "gold edition" rules in a league and didn't do too bad with them. They had a good chance of wining against a basher team but had circles ran around them when they played finesse teams (which is the way one would espect). They won about 50% of there games (not a very balanced league, mainly ST teams but a coupe of AG teams). I would say that Ogre teams are the best big guy team, I have played Minotaurs (never won a game - WA on everyone is brutal, and treemen (should only be played with addition of dryads).

Great job, Bengo !!! I'm sure I wouldn't have noticed it...
What do you think about it ? It seems fanatic likes to make our team unique (khemri, ogres)... Something like 2nd edition treeman... ohh guys, it should become a real nightmare
BTW, Andy last talked about an ogre throwing a gob... It won't be released finally (galak... start your engine....
) ? Not on the picture...

I had a Ogre team with 12 players (fielding 11) that was very competitive. I started out with 6 or 7 players. The rules were that you could remove negative traits but had to have twice as many SPP.
In the end I went 1-0 and 0-1 in two straight games against the league dominating Norse team, with 6 Dauntless-players. So Ogre-teams is playable but not too powerful. It takes them longer to get good and the ageing-rules will stop them from becoming too powerful.
