Stupid Question

Post by Cam... »

Having spent the last few days surfing this site and loving every minute, I found myself struggling with the various rules references - I'm using 3rd edition (with a few house rules). What is the current version and how would I get hold of a copy? :-?

Another quick question, though. How long will 1.3 be the standard? When does 1.4, or 2.0 or whatever the next one is come out? What about the release and supposed print version of the rules that's supposed to come in November?

What I would like to see is when they do change it that they let us know what the changes are, to save us re-printing the whole dang thing because they changed a few page references or some typos have been fixed!! As it prints I watch my ink level drop sharply!!!!

Well, the LRB has all changes in blue text. If there are half as many changes this time as their were last time, I will reprint just to save my sanity. Rewriting it myself just to make the changes just doesn't sound like a fun evening at home.

Last I understood 1.3 was to be official until October 2003. The print version is 1.3.

The official version is now LRB 2.0 - read the front, it says that it is official, although people who bought the handbook shouldn't worry as changes are minor and generally clarifications rather than new rules.

at least that's how I read it
