how do you get such good pictures of mini's

You could probably start by making the pictures in day light.

Light and resolution.

Try and use natural light or a bulb that tries to approximate it at least.

Also, kick up the res and quality on your camera to maximum and then use software to resize the picture. That way it will still be crisp and clear. I always have a problem with depth of focus and have to take several shots till I get it right. They're digital, just take a dozen shots and delete what looks bad. Once you have it down take notes and start there next time.

I've laid down a pice of paper and marked where my light was where the minuatre was and where the camera was. So now anytime I want a picture I have a good starting point. Group pictures on the other hand are still a headache for me.

For inside pictures, place your mini closer to the background and it will help out a bit :D
