Throw team mate and pass

Post by Valen »

Just a quick question with regard to throwing the football and a player.

Can you perform a pass action, a hand off and a throw team mate all in one turn.

For example, the ball is kicked to you, you run your orc thrower back to pick it up out of your end zone, he then passes the ball to the blitzer, who in turn runs over to the goblin stood behind an ogre, and hands off the ball. SURPRISE SURPRISE, the ogre launches the little guy down field so he can run in for a TD, GET IN THERE   .

Would this be legal? :-?

Sorry but TTM counts as your pass action.

As TTM takes up the pass action, can the big guy benefit from the Pass skill on a failed roll? Can a bomber use the Pass skill when chunking a bomb? These are pass-like actions but not regular passes so I was wondering.

Pass can be used on TTM most definitely.

It can also be used with Bomb throwing.

very sunny

But Hey, will a Very Sunny weather also affect pass rolls when throwing team-mates or bombs?
Very Sunny: A glorious day, but the blinding
sunshine causes a -1 modifier on all attempts to
pass the ball.
Only when passing the ball? - or when making a pass roll?

You can't hand off a player, because you can't have possession of them in the first place. ;)

Though I do like the idea of TTM's being intercepted by other big guys...

i have found a Star Player month ago, this was a Ogre wich had a baseball wood.We included this as a secret weapon for ST5 players that can have secret weapons (house rules) because we dont use stars but SW.
So you can Twack the player in the air during the throw. This is quite fun :)
Hand-off the player: but if my gobbo agree with it? I would like to see a rule someday for that, i would laugh a lot :)

Out of curiosity what happens to the poor schmuck that gets hit? And the ball?

Longshot,

The idea about baseball wood I like, but only if it was in a league of purely big guy teams, i.e. Ogres, Mino's, Treemen, etc..... You would have to amend the rules slightly to allow little guys in the teams.
