Will the Chaos Cup be using the rules used in the Death Cup and the Philly Phrakus which allows Chaos and Nurgle teams to take mutations as regular skills?

No. We do allow you to take a mutation after game 1 and 3 instead of the 2 normal skills.

If I was going to allow those teams to take mutations as normal skills than I'd switch to the PBBL rules were mutations are normal skills for the tournament. But that's a pretty fundamental change for a tournament before the rules are tourmament legal.

It's been used in 4 tourney's already. Death Cup, Bash by the Bay, Boston Bruha, Philly Phracus and Will be used in Death Bowl

results have shown that Chaos teams still do no better than they do with regular skill access but Chaos coaches like the option and does make the experience better for a "lesser tourney team".

We do limit to one claw though.

If you think about it, no one mutation is really a game breaker. The reason chaos teams are powerful at high TR is because they Stack Mutations.

But I understand the ruling and wouldn't change it either........but it IS THE CHAOS CUP

Tom, what is the times of games for the Chaos Cup. could you please update that portion?

Which may be all the excuse I need to bring a Chaos team (well Nurgle, anyway).

Besides, I don't plan on going too heavy with the mutations, but it is nice to have the option.

Okay ... I'm willing to try it ... as it is the Chaos Cup.

But not for Skaven ... not until PBBL balances out the mutations.

And you'll have to have an appropriate figure to match the mutation.

Schedule.

I THINK!!!! it will look like this:

SATURDAY
9-10 am Registration
10am to Noon Game
Noon to 1 Lunch
1 to 3 Game 2
3 to 4 Break
4 to 6 Game 3

SUNDAY
9 am to 11 am Game 4
11 am to Noon Break
Noon to 2 pm Game 5
3 pm Awards

That's what we are currently looking at

yes the rule in the other tournies was chaos and nurgle only--positional players only too! (no big guys getting claws).....no skaven.
