Create a folder, called whatever you like, although PBeM is always a good bet.
Download the 2.5b tool and ini files from http://www.midgardbb.com/PBeMTool/index.html, and unzip them (using WinZip or similar) inside the folder you've created. If asked, used te "Use Folder Structure" option.
You should now have the following in the PBeM folder:
pbembb25b - the tool
"images" folder
"ini" folder
"roster" folder
Also from the above site you can download the TeamCreator tool, which will make compatible html rosters for the tool to read.
If you want the pics, download them, and unzip them in the "roster" folder. Extra pitches can be downloaded from various sites - these should be put in the "imges" folder.
Create a roster or 2 using the TeamCreator tool, and save them somewhere - you should get something like teamname.html.
Double click on the pbembb25b tool, and select the league rules you want to use (LRB by default). The tool will ask you to locate the rosters you want to use, and then you can go ahead with the rest of the pre-game.
Hope it helps.

Cheeres Dark Son.
Right, i think ive got it sorted. I just cant get the player pics up on the field, they just come up as squares with numbers in them.
Also how do i play it via the net. Iknow it says 'are you playing this team', but how do i get it so the other player plays them?

There are no player pics on the field, you will get squares [Galak was going to use those figs that FUMBBL uses, but I'm not sure what happened about that]. If you've linked the pics correctly though, the player pic will show to the side of the pitch when you hover over that player.
To play against someone else, take you turn (or do the pre-game), save the game (top left on the toolbar). It will ask you for a name. The game will be saved as a .bbm file. VERY IMPORTANT - Zip the file before you send it, else it may get corrupted. .Send the zip file to your opponent, they'll unzip it, play their turn, save it and send you the new zipped file.

Load both, but only agree to "I'm playing this team" for yours.
In most PBeM leagues, one coach would normally load both teams, save the game and the other coach would do the pre-game rolls. It's done this way to activate the "cheat" detection straight away. But for practice matches it's fine to load both teams and do all the pre-game. If you only say you're playing one team, then when the other coach receives the file, the tool will ask them if they're playing the other.

Now Simon ... you know the answer to that ... PBBL took everything I call free time away from me over the last year and half.Darkson wrote:There are no player pics on the field, you will get squares [Galak was going to use those figs that FUMBBL uses, but I'm not sure what happened about that].

What operating system are you using?
Under Windows XP (and I'm assuming other versions of Windows) you should be able to select "Open with..." and then there should either be the Pbem tool listed, or there should be an option for choosing (locating) the program. If not, try right clicking it and selecting "Properties", and under the "General" tab try clicking the "Change" button next to "Open With".
Quick question though. Have you moved the folder where the PBeM tool is recently?

Just to make sure ... you aren't trying to open the bbm outside of the PBeM program are you??? Trying to do that would generate the error message you are reporting.shaniepoo wrote:Ok, ive started a game with Hoomin but now i cant get the dam thing working.

You should have received a zipped bbm file from Hoomin. You should have unzipped the bbm file from this zip file. Then you start up the PBeM program and load that bbm file.

RIght....Ive downloaded the Zip file from the email and saved it into the 'PBeMBB_Tool'. Now ive extracted the info within the zip file and have a file 'shane V Rob'. When i try to open the file 'shane v rob' it says 'windows cant find file' and gives the option to find program via net or browse for program on pc. After browsing on pc i open the file under the PBeM tool and unzip it, it then says '54 unziped files'. when i try open it again it just keeps saying 'unzip to what folder' and i cant get it to actually open.
One it's properties it says it is location 'Archive Root Directory', dont know if thats right or not?
Im begining to think im not destined to play via email.
