If an opponent declared an action part way through a move in one of my games I'd allow it once, but warn the opponent that the rules clearly state that actions are to be declared BEFORE doing anything. They would not be allowed to do it a second time. This is the sort of approach I would like to see taken at the event. Reasonable, but fair.

The 'cut-off' point commonly applied is declaring an action after you've rolled a dice. (The dice roll can have an impact on the decision. Example: I wouldn't allow somebody to make a pick up roll (with a TRR in hand and without Sure Hands and then declare a Pass Action. (if the player has SH, it wouldn't bother me because making the pick up has no impact on the decision to Pass) . Likewise making a Dodge roll and then declaring a blitz with the TRR still in reserve is a no no for the same reason). If you haven't rolled a dice it's nothing but a technicality and calling it is gamemanship at best. Likewise you don't force players into going through with 2D against Blocks because they've mixed up your (identically painted) Guard player with another. No dice rolled=take back the move and put the player back. Some tournaments actually define this in the ruleset, maybe more should so these things are clear to everyone.

We even let the opponent take back an action after a dice is rolled (and no turnover is generated), but any rolled dice don't count then however, eg, I expect my opponnent to roll for that dodge again.

Okay.
When I said illegal procedure.
I didn´t actually mean illegal procedure (forgot to move turnmarker)
I meant to make a dodge and then undo it or declare an action after a die roll.
I am pretty certain that all the Danes will expect this to be the rule of thumb.
However I have allways wondered why people don´t want to play with the turnmarker.
I have seen many games where the coaches suddenly didn´t know which turn they were in, because they had forgotten to move it.

Finally I would like to say that respect goes both ways, and just because someone is more "at home" in a fora it doesn´t give him the rights to be disrespectful of any others.
Code of conduct applies to everyone at the same level.
However we aren´t all alike, and that has to be respected.
Accept the competitor as well as the one who travels along for the fun of it.
Both should be equally welcome, enjoying their part of the tournament as they want.

First of all, talking about forum codes of conduct, when you edit your post, you mention it.
Second, I hope we won't see rude drunk behaviour as last year.
I could certainly justify what I say but if some people can't see the point, I'm not gonna change the world.

Don't associate playing within a certain spirit with being 'uncompetitive'.

You can be a very competitive player yet still want to win by tactics and luck (as the game should be decided) and not by technicalities such as declaring actions, calling IPs etc. Not being prepared to use 'any means necessary that are within the rulebook' does not make somebody an 'uncompetitive' or 'fun' player.

You can play hard and still play with the right spirit.

Actually all I am saying is that we aren´t all the same and there should be room for everyone.
I don´t think there was any rude drunk behaviour last year.
Mayby there was misinterpreted behaviour of the drunk....

True that you can be competitive and large, I actually believe I am just that.
But if someone plays to the letter of the book, he has the right to do just that, and I would then do the exact same.
Finally it´s impossible to say what good behaviour is, apart from respecting your opponent.

Some hate foulers, some find it double moral if you say sry after killing his player, some dislike one-turners, some whiners.
Some hate to talk during a game, others enjoy it.

But there is one very important thing to remember:
If you behave like you think you should, you will likely attract people who think like you.

For my feelings, i willsay welcome to the Danish ! it was the first meeting last year and i suppose that this year people will be good spirit only i know they are cool dudes

Second : I have also some coaches i truly dont like in other teams... well, only one for the moment have to mention.
And as a Captain, i still dont know how to handle my reaction if we face him. (Nafia working underways...)

I think a real game of BB could be on the cards here or just add the following to the rules pack :

*Coaches are advised to bring mace/pepper spray to their games, incase your opponent forgets its a game and gets all hotheaded and demands you turnover... give him a spray, and it will put some manners in him *

I even allow the opponent to move a player to assist a block after he declared a block with another player and realized that it is just a 1-D or 2D-against-block.

However, I said no when someone once asked me "can I take this move back, I need him to assist a foul instead"
