Heh heh.. been looking at flights, found the following text which amused me:

"Picturesque canals form a girdle around the oldest parts of Amsterdam and encompass the city’s notorious Red Light District. Here tourists stroll over ancient bridges and down the narrow lanes where the aroma of cannabis pervades the air, and at night the streets are lit up by the crimson glow of windows from which prostitutes beckon passers-by."

Sorry to bring this up again .. i would not like to end up sharing a room with my lonely self ..

Where is everyone staying?

I've found these hotels nearby the venue:

NH Tropen
***
69 - 199 euros / night
Linnaeusstraat 2C, 1095 CK Amsterdam
http://www.bookings.nl/hotel/nl/nhtrope ... eb14512109

Hotel Arena
***
72 - 200 euros / night
s-Gravesandestraat 51, 1092 AA Amsterdam
http://www.bookings.nl/hotel/nl/arena.e ... eb14512109;

Best Western Lancaster Hotel
***
49 - 180 euros / night
Plantage Middenlaan 48, 1018 DH Amsterdam

That post was a good reminder that I'd not booked my flight yet!

So English (and Scottish) chappies; has there been any progress on the apartment front as of yet?

I'm going over on the Thursday so will probably need seperate accomodation for one night at least anyway.

Also, I assume the bar we are playing in is ok for Steeler-Bowl as well? Or will we be watching at a seperate bar?

Cheers

Richard

We're not playing in a bar. I assume you are refering to the super-bowl? That will be watched elsewhere. More news will follow as soon as we have found out on which channels it will be broadcasted.
Waseem (the new owner of the Legendz) is slowly warming to the idea that a lot of BB-ers will show up during the weekend, we have not yet mentioned the super-bowl or the expected behaviour of the English contigent :P

given how dead "Legendz" is these days I think he will be glad of the custom no matter how lewd and drunken the behaviour...

it might help if he actually tried to do something with the place.. like decorate it... or turn the fecking heating on! :pissed:

Joris, the one thing your web site could do with is an option to state you dont know what team your taking yet! I am listed as Amazon but I wont be using them, they just happen to be top of the list.

Anyone seen any good flights from the UK per chance? Im going Friday and back on the monday...anyone else?

Good point. I forwarded that remark to the site admin. But I'm not applying any thumbscrews, so lets hope he will adjust it. Otherwise the only thing that suffer is the prognosis of which teams will appear, about which I am not to concerned.

Also be sure to add that he'd better not have any sambuca in the bar, or failing that, a really good fire insurance. :P
