Okay, after cycling around Vondelpark for a bit, asking directions no less than three times before somebody could tell me where exactly the hostel was, I found it and made inquiries.

As a group we can book 4, 6 and 8 person bedrooms for a fairly cheap price: around 25 euros per person per night. Because we (or rather you) are a group this price is reduced from the normal rates. The NAF being a member of the international hostelthing was not a factor (so what the benefits of that membership are I wouldn't know).

In any case as I didn't know how many people want to stay there and for how many days. I took an option for 20 people for Friday and Saterday night (which is easily extended to Sunday). This option remains good for 2 weeks. By then we need to be sorted out. I have all the contact information we need. So we need to get organised. I can organise it, but would appriciate it if somebody else could look into it. We need to decide fairly fast, as all weekends are fully booked (but the first weekend of February not yet).

What we need to know is:

Who wants to star at the hostel?
Do you want to stay on Sunday?
How are we going to organise a downpayment?

It is probably best if the person who will organise, starts a new thread so he can edit and keep the the first post up to date.

Normally hostels allow you to book and pay on arrival, so I'm not sure we need downpayments.

If they do need a deposit, can they take Paypal? Or can you take Paypal and pass it on?

They are going to be fully booked so they probably want to make sure you actually be there during the weekend. And because we book as a group, we have to pay as a group. There was an option where everybody had to pay indivdually but in advance.
They gave me a contract for the option, which I confirm by signing after which they will send me a bill.

Well me and EG are definatley up for this and probably Ewan as he is traveling with us. We will be there Sunday night aswell though

I'm still trying to sort myself for the DO, but I will probably be coming along with the Sheriff, and we will be bringing our respective others. So we could do with a room for the four of us. We are all planning on staying a couple more days after the event.

This going to cause a problem?

OK, let's get a definative list going. Shout up if you're definately up for this and how many (and which) nights.

As for downpayment/deposit, the NAF can probably cover any initial outlay necessary for pre-booking and recoup from people on the weekend.

TBH, I'm gonna be far too busy over the next couple of weeks to organise/ co-ordinate this myself, so I'd appreciate a volunteer who wants to step up and do the necessary admin for this.
