New White Dwarf
I happened to be browsing my local GW store during my lunch hour, and the all new White Dwarf came in while I was sitting there. I picked up a copy, and it mentions the new Blood Bowl game (coming out this month, it says, since this is the Nov. issue) and pictures the new Khemri team. Says the boxed game will retail for $50 USD and the book will sell separately, but only through mail order, it looks like.
Interesting note! Thought I'd pass it on.

Then again.
Consider how much cheaper it is for them to manufacture it this time around since they dont have to print the cards again (and will the set include minis??)
I´m convinced they will get a hefty profit on this as usual on their goods.

Ummm
Like all the GW large box sets it'll be £50 sterling. I guess the rule book will be most the popular item for members of this illustrious forum...

While it is nice to have a properly made up rulebook, I am still unsure if i am going to bother purchasing it. After all its not going to be any more recent or up to date then the living rulebook and seeing as i just printed that out, i might as well just stick to that. Its not often that stuff needs to be looked up anyway.

I'm probably gonna have to buy it as I don't have a "official" pitch (I've a Astrogranite one
) and we only have one 3ed in our club (for our league we had to use 2 1st ed ones
)

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I imagine that the new BB set will just be to entice new players. I doubt they will be offering anything to tempt those of us that already own a set.
As for the rules? Well Grumbledook is right, I've put mine in a neat binder now with tabs. Yeah tabs I tell you!!! So I won't be purchasing it.
Can I just take this opportunity to lobby for the return of the 2nd ed astrogranite pitch. My Halflings hate to play on anything else. But then they are rock ard!
Astrogranite has got to be the surface of choice... yes you can't see the centre squares.... yes some mini don't want to stand up on the uneven surface.... but who cares! It looks great when painted up. And you can even trace in lines for the centre bits. So join me in bringing back astrogranite. Afterall then it makes sense that players get hurt when they go for it. Trip on grass, don't hurt. Full pelt face dive onto concrete.... is gonna smart.

Yeh
I saw your tabbed-neatly-in-plastic-protectors-folder at Spikey. Very well organised I must say.
So the new rule book will not be an update of the current pdf downloadable Living Rule Book? I was wrong it seems, don't worry it happens a lot, I can't see many of the BB old guard bothering then. Does that mean that the online version will cease to exist?
