I love playing HE but for me this is ot the more powerfull team.
Orc for example can manage well a 2/1 victory against Elves so stop crying.
Elf coaches have to play with 8 players one the field most of the time and this is quite difficult so if you still dont score, forget about playing against an elf team and may be all teams....

AMazone for example have Dodge/block Combo and they are not able to take Agility xkill==>that is a nonsens for me.
Of course this is nonsense that's the whole point. Just because I say death to elves, doesn't mean I lose to them, people who wrote that are making a big assumption. The wrong assumptin. I just don't like prancing, dancing, fruity little elves, that's all.
As far as wanting them changed, I don't expect any changes to be made to any rosters, I just wanted to see how many elf-haters and elf-lovers there are out there.
Okay first of all I think we have to separate the opninions here.
From the balance point of view Elves (all of them) are definately not overpowered compared to the other teams. Their balance factor is their price, their restricted access to big guys, and their low AV (woodys only of course).
Now fluff wise you have to separate again. From the 2nd edition fluff Elves where those whiney punks that refuse to play when mud gets on their dress. If you follow this fluff, I agree that the AV should be lower for HE and DE teams (beside of their Blitzers) and their MV should be higher.
Well you can deny it, you can like it or not, but fluff-wise bloodbowl has changed since the 3rd edition. It became more Fantasy-Stylish and went a bit into the direction of Warhammer Fantasy Battle. And since then the higher AV for High Elves and Dark Elves is at least based on that fact.
So basically I would say leave it as it is in the rules. Maybe the fluff would change back again, maybe not. Till then you have to live with the High Elves in scale mail ....
I think all elf haters should just shut up as you are all just green with jealousy .
I do agree however that the Wardancers are too good, and there is no way that the rest of the team are too weak, they are basically the same as the HE's and DE's (plus on MA, minus 1 AV or ST).

Do not underestimate the difference between Av7 and Av8. Av7 suffers 50% more armour penetrations than Av8 - that's 50% more KO's and 50% more casualties than their cousins.
Even though HE and DE have some Av7 - they are specialist players who can quickly get block/dodge to compensate somewhat.
Personnally I feel the balance is about right and Woodies need something special to keep them competitive.

Huh, no. It's 40% more, and even less so when any modifier (mighty blow, etc.) applies.
Every team has its weaknesses.... except Halflings everyone knows they are unbeatable.
I think peoples' main complain with elves is the high AG. But high AG doesn't stop you getting thumped.
The difference with elves is that they are a fragile team. A problem that is only compounded by the fact that a starting team will undoubtedly only have 11 players in the squad. One cas and you don't even have a full side for a kick off!
So yes elves are namby pamby make up wearing big girls draws, who only play BB for the chance of a sarong sponsorship deal. But they are a balanced side..... nevertheless.
