Newbie- What Team-What Race?
Hi,
Ive only just joined the board and introduced myself as a complete Newbie/Novice/Duffer in the BB world.....Hell!, I havnt even decided what Team/Race would give me a good start. I realize there must be lots of considerations to ponder before deciding which Team/Race to field (in Pbem), anyone any thoughts?
I hope this is the correct forum for this post?

The best races to start with are humans or orcs. They are the two "most normal" teams and probably best to learn with.
Humans have a greater emphasis on passing and scoring while orcs are pretty good at bashing other teams up.
Once you've played a few games with one of them you'll probably know what style of game you want to play and then choose a race that suits your style.
They also used to come with the BB set, so many people have the minis. I don't know if they are in the new set.

what team.
yup as a starter i like the orcs as they suit my all smash style of play. but definatly get used to an average agility team before you start playing with the more adventurous races. suits the pocket better to have the modells too, as ian said.

You could always be different and try undead. IMO they are an equally playable side for novices.

A good thing with orcs is that you won't have to worry too much about those AV-rolls, with AV 9 for almost every player.
In situations where you'd like to get fragile players out of the action, determining in which order to activate your players get's more difficult. Making a mistake here and there won't be the same catastrophes as it might be if you'd be playing wood elves...
