4th Skill for Minotaur

Post by bingbong186 »

I have a Minotaur in my Chaos team that is currently sitting on 43 SPP, and within the next one or two games could be approaching his 4th skill. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to take? Currently he has;

Horns, Frenzy, Mighty Blow, Thick Skull
1st Skill; removed Wild Animal (League House Rule on a skill roll of 12)
2nd Skill; Block
3rd Skill; Piling On

On a normal roll I was thinking maybe Multiple Block or even Break Tackle, on a double I'm pretty sure I'd take Stand Firm so that when I blitz players off the field I'm safe to stay on the edge of the board. Then again though, on doubles I have the option of Physical Mutations.

Any Ideas?

take razor sharp claws/fangs on a double, what with piling on your going to take players off the pitch.

Yup, on a double take razor sharp claws/fangs.. Or in this case, Razor Sharp Horns :) On normal rolls I'd be inclined to take tackle. Tackle will help for those pesky blodgers (nothing worse than rubber banding a player when you frenzy them) plus anyone trying to sneak past the mino will have a harder time :)

I'd recommend tackle for a normal skill - it will help take down those pesky blodgers.

For a double, I don't think you really need RSF - you've already got MB so its not such a big gain.

I'd be tempted by either SF or dodge

Break Tackle or Strip ball or Tentacles

That's a little scary. Back when you could remove WA, Frenzy was part of WA, i.e. if you lost WA then you also lost Frenzy.
I wouldn't want to play against him! :o

I'd give him tackle and turn him loose on recievers. 3 die frenzied block with piling on and mighty blow.

*shudder*

Don't give him multiple block, as he can't gain any assist and only has ST5.

I'd go for dodge on a double. As Ian wrote you don't need RSF...
On normal skill roll take tackle...

When we're at it:

I have a treeman on my woodie team, with these skills:
multiple block, MB, block, TTM, take root.

I rolled a normal skill for his third level, and I am thinking of giving him tackle, but he's only standing on the LoS and bashing linemen, and as only a few linemen has dodge it might be for no good.
Any suggestions???

Piling on.

TIMMMBBERRRR!!

I'd seriously consider Dodge on a double (for when those pesky double [triple] pow/! dice come up) or break tackle.

That raises another question:
Can Multiple Block be combined with Pilling on?? I mean do you get the modifier on both players or just one of them??

I think you can only use it on one, but I'm not sure. It ould be up for review.

Thanks for the replies guys, tackle's starting to sound pretty good.

Franck; He can gain assists as I've removed WA, and if he's blitzing he'll be strength 6 because of horns, which was why I was considering Multiple Block.

Just to add confusion, strip ball may be just as good as tackle for your treeman.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Sorry, I was just thinking of a mino. Not a mino without WA

Why not Pro? Piling on means you could be fouled if you wern't careful enough. Tackle is good but pro is something I would give a big guy straight away.
