Foul Appearance

Post by Kri »

I a player with FA stands in your tackle zone, do you get -2 on the catch roll?

If a player with FA is prone, do you still get -1? I´ve heard before thet FA doesn´t work when prone but I haven´t found it anywhere.

If two players with FA stands within 3 squares of your player, does he (or she) get -2 on the catch roll?

Hmm not sure how it works if your in their tz, cause you get -1 allready not sure if it stacks up, prone players normally don't have any affect on dice rolls, so i would say it doens't work, but I can't be sure on this.

Yes

No, it doesn't apply if you are prone.

Yes

Its one of the reasons why FA is best used en masse. 3+ line rats with FA can really shut down a passing game, especially if a few of them have Pass Block too.

Oh yeah! I love FA. Like Ian said, En Masse it can be brutal. The needing to make the die roll before throwing the block can be annoying to the other coach too. Long legged, Pass Blocking Gutter Runners need this Trait if they can get it.

It's a pass action so I would assume it does.

What about landing though?

I'm actually yet to find a rule that applies to prone FA players. We've house ruled that it does not apply but I'm unsure of the official ruling.

Shame, as the image of a halfling throwing up his lunch (and pre-game snack and pre-drive snack and....) because of the ugly gutter runner below him, not concentrating on the landing and making a big red smear on the pitch is just to much like fun

You reading this Galak? :D

I would say that Foul Appearance has effect even if the player is prone. I can´t find anything that says the opposite.

I find that this is ok, the guy is disgusting no matter if he´s standing or prone. His position is not going to affect his look or, ehem, his smell.

He may be no less disgusting if he's prone but he's much less bothersome. If he's standing you're probably worried he might touch you or something. Prone, he's just a morbid curiosity.

Nothing works prone, I wouldn't make this an exception

Thick skull?
This must be the exception that prooves the rule :D

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".
