Heheh, same here :)

Think it was about 128 or so, had one of the Advanced Hero Quest expansion pack covers.

AH, There was an Advanced Space Crusade cover around that time too. That was when GW first came up with Tyranids. Good game that. Still have some of the old plastic Scout models somewhere.

131 springs to mind as the one with the Advanced Space Crusade box cover on the front, and I think 132 was the blue Space Crusade/Heroquest issue. I'm going to have to check my back issues now, see if I'm right.

131 sounds about right. The box cover is certainly right.. I think 128 would have been my first (I did a little digging on the net). I would have been about 15 so that tallies too.

I remember when Necromunda was a project in WD called confrontation, with randomly generated gangs....

Heheh aye, some very nice rules for Confrontation, if a little complicated, but I liked them.. Had a few games of it and loved the atmosphere, very, very dark and gritty gang warfare, not as cartoonish as Necromunda (don't get me wrong, Necromunda is my fav game after Blood Bowl, just preferred the darker style of Confrontation)

Oh, and of course.. Issue 134 that had the very first appearance of Ghazgkull (or however you spell it) the orc Warbos... Who at that time was just a regular old orc boss for a studio members Goff Orks :)

I played tons of Necromunda games and in the end converted the system.

We even had rules (like in confrontation I think) where you had to write down the number of shots you had taken to see if you had any ammo left.

Loads of loads of loads of fun :D :D
