Rivalries

Post by lawquoter »

So tell me all about them. Which club in your league/area do you just hate! who do you love to cream! Which club has that special distinction of making or breaking your season depending on how you do against them? Or are there any games in your league that is always close no matter how good or bad the teams are? Which club do you just :puke: when you see them put out on the pitch? :smoking:

There's some rivalries in our league

My Norse rival just about anybody.

Any match with them just must end in a full KO / Injured box from my opponent.

Can't help it really.

Some other teams have storyline - like rivalries.

The amazons and Wood Elves played both finals in our first year, so every match between them gets this mentioned again.

This is what makes a league big fun !! :D

The Middenheim Steam! (The Asskickers to those in the MBBL.) Boy, do I hate those guys! They always get a good injury on us!

While I was playing in the Seattle area leagues, My skaven had an ongoing rivalry with the local Dark Elf team. The games were always hard fought and close and easily some of the most enjoyable games I have ever played. (Gabe if your out there, it's you man!) I think by the end of the season, and after the grudge match went to a doll-off, there was some mutual respect between the teams. Not common for either race.

For me it HAS to be the Black Swamp Squiggoths, our local orc team. My humans and that team always come down to the wire, it's brutal. Also, there's the Blackspire Buggerers and the Fescennine foulers, our goblin and skaven teams who have had a rivalry ever since the "outhouse bowl" last year... you can check out the article on our website, the link is in my sig.

Ya, My Squiggoths, and the Sartosa Centurians ALWAYS wind up playing down to the wire. We both know eachother well, and know what the other is thinking, and we both pretty much know what the other is going to do next. The whole game rests on the rolling of the dice. This can lead to heated arguements over stupid little things at 5 in the morning if you aren't careful. :pissed: :P

Anyways, we agreed not to play eachother for a while, because our heads hurt too much after the game. :o

Those damn Stumpie Studs! Dang Dwarves handed my Orcs their only loss this season. I hate playing against Dwarves! They just won't DIE!l I can never get as many casulties as I want against them. Oh, the Coach is pretty good too.

Sounds like we've got some good spiteful rivalries out there. I feel your pain about dwarves, they simply will not die. I guess that's why I've started to play them more lately. If you can't kill 'em, join 'em. :smoking:
