Ok, so as far so good.
A totalt of 46 people have voted thus far.
43% says they agree with me.
8% says they don't agree with me.
and 47% don't really care one way or another.
So, from this I deduct, that only really 8% don't want to change, whereas 43% think it should read lineelf, lineorc, linerat, etc
the 47% that don't care, would be just as happy either way.
We could count that as saying 90% would be happy with the change.
and 55% would be happy having it the way it is.
It seems obvious to me, that this means the teams lists should be updated with my suggestion.

OI OI, Norway here tooAsmodan wrote:HURRAH,
Finally there is another norwegian posting in this forum.
I was beginning to think noone played Blood Bowl in Norway anymore.
On the matter of the poll i voted who cares, because its the same for me if you call them linemen or linerat as long as you can play with them (or kill them if its your opponent players)
Asmodan

I know its 2 leagues here in Oslo, 12 in mine, 8 in the other, so there are a few that still play

Go Norway

On to the topic tho, I voted yes, but i think most of us in my league already say LineElf, LineOrc etc. It just comes automatic.

And could you check the tournament section of this forum. Roy and I was discussing the possibility on a tournament in Norway there.

Actually, no.
If fact, I dont much like the Bush administration.
Bush is too much of a cowboy for my tastes.
I liked Clinton.
It's sort of like this:
"Hey! I'm full of shit, how'd ya like that"

But I am a politician.
I'm a young conservative, (unge høyre folkens)
VOTE YES DAMMIT

Ok, here's the more realistic interpretation of the poll results..
No-one honestly cares, lineman, line elf, lineorc.. IT DOESN'T MATTER, just play the game. It has NO affect on the game and as such is so trivial a matter as to be happily ignored.
Plus, it's always been 'Lineman' since 1st edition.

I have to say, I'm appaled by some people lack of imagination.
Of course it has no effect whatsoever on gameplay. And of course it really doesn't matter. But this is "fantasy" football. I really can't see the elven warriors in warhammer referred to as footmen. Do you? It would just be wrong.
I mean, GW usually spends alot of time construction the fantasy around their games. That's why they are so successful.
And, taking fantasy in to account, I think that an elf, or orc, or skaven wouldn't much like being called human. If fact, I think they would take it as being an insult.
It's not a big deal, has no effect n the game. So simply call it an editorial change.
Get a sense of imagination.

it isn't lack of imagination, it's an appreciation for the simple fact that with the limitation of annual updates, and the fact that we've laready seen that the previously expected removal of fantasy battle names (i.e. lion warrior, longbeard, etc) in favor of basic position names never happened that the very real truth of the matter is that gw and the rules boys just don't see the point in making so much old material obsolete and confusing by changing purely cosmetic semantics...
and neither do i.
do i call my wardancers blitzers? yes. do i call longbeards linedwarfs? you betcha... do i give a f--k that skaven are listed as linemen and not linerats? you've got to be kidding.
call tehm what you want... call them steve and charlie for all i care, but realize that there are better and more rational things for gw to do with their time and resources...
