Yes, I'm quite sure that's what the mag said. And with mummies being quite strong, heavily armoured and slightly regenerative, that should take quite some time, in theory... I'm at work, so I can't check it right now, but I remember my amazement when I read the article, and interpretted (is that spelled correctly?) it as allowing both mummies to stay and golems to come...
I'll have to check it tonight, when I come home

Quote BB mag 3, page 8, somewhere at the end:
"We will be bringing out a Flesh Golem and Werewolf model at some time in the future, but for the time being you can use your Mummy models or the old Frank N. Stein Star Player model to represent Flesh Golems, and Beastmen or the old Wilhelm Chaney Star Player model to represent werewolves."
and on page 4:
" If a league already has Undead teams in it then they can carry on as Necromantic teams, and can keep the Mummy's as special 'allied' players. Mummies cannot be replaced once they are killed (????
) (or should that be returned to eternal rest?), but untill that time they count as normal members of the team and collect Star Player points, and so on."
Indeed it doesn't say you can't have both Golems AND Mummies.
Guess it's not what they meant though ..

For starters, 'declare' is not spelt 'declair'.Grumbledook wrote:Yes i do, off you go then ;p
Unless you're trying to order cakes in France.
Or something like that.
Probably.

Dave: I missed that part, but I agree that the intent is obviously to replace dying Mummies with Golems.

I do really like the current Undead team and think it would be a shame to see them go, flesh golems just don't sound as good as mummies.
I also don't think there is a lot of room given the current team selections to add many more teams that can add anything to the game.
I liked the Lizardmen and the Vampire Counts look ok with a little modification but i'm not keen on what i've seen of the Khemri and Necromantic teams.

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

As commish of the MBBL2 .... I'll politely agree to disagree with you on this point.Munkey wrote:I also don't think there is a lot of room given the current team selections to add many more teams that can add anything to the game.

Just in case you don't know .. the MBBL2, WBBL, WBBJ-L, and CSBBL leagues all have 76 different team roster usable for league play.

I like the sound of a flesh golem in Blood Bowl. Maybe it will look like the blood golem from Diablo II. Always loved that guy - he looked like a gorilla with his skin peeled off.
