I don't mind the idea of flesh golems on an undead team and if they had a better werewolf I wouldn't mind that either. The Khemri are basically what the undead used to be like in 2ed, just mummies and skellies (though the whole magic helmet fluff is kinda lame). If the vamps are fixed with COFAB then they will be alright. Never played WFB, so never got into vampire counts and don't really know anything about the different types of vamps, so one type seems ok to me.

That's why I have the MBBL ... not everyone in the world likes 76 teams .. :lol: I completely understand.

I cannot read the phrase "magic helmet" without thinking, well where's your spear then? :P
I'm sure even Elmer wouldn't like the Khemri team, I know I don't.

If it aint broke, dont fix it. Teh addition of 2 more wights to teh 3rd edition roster was teh perfect icing fer teh Undead cake (eeewwwwww....).
I'm not saying there's no room for new teams, but leave meh my team.
And for gods sake ppl... put teh werewolf on teh Norse team where he belongs...

Shasta after eating Undead cake....

Shasta, it's only a small thing, but can you concentrate harder when you type the word "the". The "h" comes in the middle of the word, not at the end. You managed to make this mistake six times in two sentences in the previous posting (and many times in other postings).

(Sorry, but I'm getting fussy as I get older. :wink: )

Cheers,
Martyn

:o :roll: :o

Is anybody able to translate the previous two posts for me?

quaking community?
fps?
acsii? (Do you mean ASCII?)

I presume the first word Marcus typed is "lol" meaning "Laughing out loud" and "skillz" at the end means "skills". The rest is beyond me.

Hey... I've been on the Internet a long time (began using it in 1991 before there was a WWW and was there when the WWW first came into existence using XMosaic as the browser of choice!), but these "kewl" things just leave me cold.

I'm clearly just too old!

Cheers,
Martyn

i'm presuming that quaking community is the whole thing surrounding the quake computer game (like boards and stuff)

fps has flown straight over my head.

ascii must be the coding language ASCII

and as for marcus's message well all i got was lol, my, and skills (i think)

:smoking:

definately going tfor the pipe and slippers now you whippersnappers

fps = first person shooters

quick translation guide

1=i or l
3 = e
7 = t
0 = o

so 31337 = eleet == elite

yes acsii is ACSII, they use symbols from the ascii character set to replace normal letters.

its all a bit lame to be honest took me a while to get used to having to read it on quake servers, mostly used by script kiddies

So Marcus' message reads:
lol pwned joo shiznitz
phear my mhad skillz
(I'm presuming 4 means A or a!)

It still makes little sense. Is "pwned" welsh?? What on earth is "shiznitz"? Hmmm, it's no wonder that my students can't write in sentences.

Yes, it is completely lame and drives me up the wall.

1337-speak 101:

prefix anything with "LOL" whether you're actually Laughing out loud or not. It makes you look superior

"pwned" is canonical misspelling of "owned" To "own" someone means roughly the same as making them your bitch. Longshot owned Geggster 8-1 at spiky....

"fear my mad skills" basically means what you'd expect it to mean. "mad" in this case being an adjective roughly equivalent in meaning to "astounding"

Shitnitz, Bizatch, Biatch... all general corruptions of derogatory terms to refer to anyone else - friend or not.

Please note that anything I have written here is already out of date.

I used to enjoy beating kiddies who spoke this way in Quake then taunting them with quotes from Shakespeare. Used to annoy and embarrass the hell out of them. All the more so since the only way they could gain any satisfaction was to beat me - which they couldnt' do....
