Well, the only way I see it as it stands from reading all these posts, is that if you have your own league that does not play in a sanctioned games-worksop place of business, then set your own damn league rules and regulations. Take the best out of the first and second and combine them to play your own league. I mean the rules set by GW are only guidelines anyhow. Least to me they are.

More Blood!
Put the Blood back in Blood Bowl! Lose IGMEOY, give SPPs for fouling, use the card system people mentioned. Even IGMEOY would be OK if SPPs were awarded...its BLOODBowl fer crissakes!

There's got to be a happy median...
... between all Blood and all Bowl....
The best games are the ones where I get to play the whole game with most of my players... not a casualty ridden fest where the next game will have to be played with less than a full team, and that full of injuries....
That would cause me to push the reset button.... And what chance does a 100TR team have in an experienced league?
I'd rather see the game as balanced as possible....
(BTW, I don't mind SPPs for fouling, given the systems that Galak and others have mentioned....)

Taking casualties is part of the game, if you dont like it go and play something different, or take the injury and armour rolls out of your games, touch BB if you will.
I've said it before and i'll say it again, smashing the other team to pieces is a valid tactic as you can win by doing it. Plus, it's great fun, the loudest cheer in the last tourney i played in wasnt a match winning touchdown, or when i won the trophy but when the halfling teams star player Barney McGrue (76spp's Ag5) who has been in the league for 5 years was killed by a dirty player. Take the violence out the game and you take the edge out of it as well, youre not so scared of failing the dodge/block/GFI as theres no threat while your on the ground.
