Can I play BloodBowl with Rocks?

Post by khornape »

As I have yet to receive either my Skaven team or Bull Centaur mini from GW US mailorder. Seems strange as I have never had this problem in the past, yet its been over 3 weeks since I placed my order and yet they are still backordered. Not the best of ways to Re-Release one of the best games GW has ever produced. Has anyone else been having these problems getting anything?

Oh well off to paint my new Rock team....... :)

Can you play BB with Rocks?

Sure, but I'd expect the rock to be very slow taking his turns.

I'll get me coat...

A rock team, quite an interesting concept, but I doubt would make a very good team. Stats - MA 0 ST 6 AG 0 AV 10. Rocks are very hard and tough to break but don't really move very wll at all, but I suppose you could play a rock team and watch the opposition dodge through you like they were dancing around.....standing stones. :D

Rocks: ignore prone, stunned and KO. Are only removed on a Cas result, in which case they are broken in to pieces and are effectively DEAD.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

well.. i guess you could look at the moss on them to determine which side was up.
Got to watch out for that dreaded "Avalanche" skill... can really do some damage if they catch you with that.
and naturally, any coach using a team of rocks wil eventually try to use the old "statue of liberty" play.

Rocks don't have to be shaped so you can't tell if they are stunned or not - they could even be human shaped rocks. I am sure I have seen statues of people before made of rock.

Besides if they can do it in metal .. why not carved BB miniatures for that adventurous sculptor ?

Guys, guys, he does play Chaos Dwarves, and last night in game 7 he threw his first pass. Can't remember if it was completed though.

BTW, his running game does resemble a rock formation.

Mike would you paint them up to look like .....rocks?

If u use statue shaped rocks u can make them move in their stadiums. Rock Team Stadiums come equipped with special machinery that vibrates the pitch enuf to give partial movement to the rock team. All players move d3 squares in random direction, anytime they come in contact with opposing players it counts as a blitz, rocks can have multible blitz actions per turn, up to the number of rocks on the field times the movement.

One of the main problems would be finding which way the rock is facing.

ah no, i've just realised you can always tell that because some one would have crapped behind it

Would the cheerleaders for the opponents be singing 'Get your rocks off' ?
