Just for information: Austria is planning to participate of course, we are, however, still discussing about who exactly is going to come and how to travel.

by car? Bologna it's just 6 hours drive from Vienna

If there are still cheap flights, we prefer the more comfortable way

but going by car is part of our consideration.

I talked with Farina about the number of people allowed to play in a team and he decided to allow only 8 people to play. there can be reserves, but they can play just in case of forfait of a team member.
This is for 2 reasons:
1) the hotel is not so big, so we want enough place for everyone
2) Farina want to play Eurobowl in a "scientific" way: he doesn't want players switching at every round even because we will play with swiss rankings both for teams and players.

Denmark here - The Danish championships are just done and the team will be assembled in a short time.
I anticipate 2 Eurobowl rookies for the team, the rest are old news.
(Me, Lorion, Fischerking to name a few)

Everybody in Denmark LOVE the idea of ETC picking, it makes sure there wont be pairings that are completely screwed, adds more tactics into the tournament and adds to the pressure of the captain. Love it.

I also like the idea of extra team points, because those who wins most "matches" (as in Denmark - England) should be the winners, not those who have had the luckiest rounds.

Looking forward to participate again this year...
