Blitzer:
T-Diddy (like P-Diddy just TD)

Or look in the dark elves codex from warhammer or 40k... Names like:
Hubris, Poisonblade(can't remember her first name), etc..

I have some old names on my roster that dates back to the old 2nd ed Blood Bowl Starplayers book (lost a couple of years ago), all from the Darkside Cowboys team list (or slightly modified):
Hubris Rakarth, Hawthorn Tullaris, Asperon Thorne, Moravis Curfew, Odium Khan, Jeremiah Malice, Luxen Tuentir (that's the head coach), Elon Surespite.
Other names fashioned in the same manner:
Inriam Spite, Ezekiel Avari, Luxor Shadowstab, Drahzar Skinkfletcher, Maeglor Widowmaker, Centurion Kool, Drizzt Do'Urden, Roxana Nailvenom, Crystal Storm (last two were Witchelves).
For darkelf (sur)names, think sinister and don't be afraid if it passes from evil into silliness!
Hope I could help!

Try the Everchanging Book of Names, or EBoN for short. The Midnight-chapter from the free core chapters works fine. The program should be available from the net - just do a search for it.

Example run from the Midnight chapter:
---------------
Odrarthak
Iranil
Lorathorn
Gashgath
Ilurthak
Vanaril
Tagresh

thank you all. That will help. I generally like to find the name by myself, and just wanted to know how they sound.

I've used Dungeons & Dragons sourcebooks about drow in the past to supply names.

My MBBL team has names based on corruptions of punk rock musicians, but that has nothing really to do with dark elves!

I've named one of my lineelves "Mimosion Pullerbogen"

that sounds mean and gives the team a Prussian military style... like Mötley Crue or so 8)

Try:

http://ebon.uni.cc/

For the Everchanging Book of Names. There's a free version and there are warhammer plug ins for Dark Elf, Orc etc. names. I used this to name my Dark Elf names a while ago.

Nowadays of course I just think of a concept and use those names (currently James Bond villains)

right that's always fun...pick a theme and name your players based on it.

for example i have a team called "apocalypse drow" and it's players are named things like "doom" "anarychy" "armageddon" etc etc.... all apocalyptic stuff.

or you could have a "matrix dark elf team" and name guys like morpeus, neo, trinity, etc etc.

or you can make up cheezy puns, like I've done with beastmen (ram ewe being one of my faves) and minos (steer clear, better than heifer, cud for brains), treemen (reemyore knothole) etc etc etc... you can have all kinds of fun with that method.

best names belong to teams with a theme, ie film characters; musicians, old school teachers. Solid Fisting current Cdwarf team will have related fisting type names. however a cool name or cool looking fig will inspire great things. Mr Pink mentioned in hated players was just COOL as. sure it was the great name that lead hi to do well.
Last option raid names, get a copy of Championship manager and search czech names for dark elves and you will be rewarded.
