We're not really making fun of Scots and our esteem/fascination came from a representative for Old Peculiar. He was at a brew-ha-ha and loved us. We spent all day sampling his wares. I don't know his name but he was a great man.

Australia is great, flaming hot at the moment, but great all the same. Only complaint i have is thta i may be going into teaching and at the moment they dont pay teachers over here...... $21000 Australian per annum aint really worth the effort of turning up.

just thought i'd point out that this topice moved from helping out a dark elf player to a pissing contest about your country rather quickly :)

i would favor a which elf only slightly over a blitzer in a dark elf team. the price difference is only 10,000 which isn't alot so losing either one will hurt early on. Just remember that the oppisition will target your witch elf more so than your blitzer because of all her nasty skills and her low armour.

as for the pissing contest, well we all know that Australia is far and away the best, nuf said really.

Your definition of pissing contest is odd, i complained about Australian teaching wages, he concurred saying american teachers are poorly paid too.
As for Australia being the best:

Any country with:
Teachers being paid less per annum than labourers with no qualifications

A required entry score to become a teacher that allows anyone who got 57-60% as their average in year 12 to become a high school physics teacher.

John Howard as Prime minister.

Has issues, we may be good, but we can improve a whole lot without reaching the best.

(dont get me wrong, i love Aus.)

I'm new to Blood Bowl, but I started my Dark Elves with the following (and my record in our (brand new) League is 5-0-2 (we don't go to sudden death on ties):

11 Line Elves

1 Apothecary
2 Re-Rolls
8 Fan Factor

I realized that I might not do well in my first few games, but figured that the Apothecary and High FF were really good ideas for early on . . . and that I would have money soon enough to buy the position players . . . and in the meantime that my lineelves would be gaining SSPs that would help them along (instead of all of those "position players" getting them).

It seems to have worked okay; but then our League is a brand-new one and doesn't (or didn't when we started) have any experienced "killer" teams.

If I had it to do again, I might opt for a third RR instead of the Apothecary -- but plan on buying him soon.
