Jimmy Fantastic wrote:I always take the best skill available for now. This means I pass up some doubles rolls, which is fine as often they are TV bloat and players die.
That's the tack I take with elves, but I take the opposite route with Orcs. I can't really say why, other than that I'm a big fan of A skills and AG4.

But Jimmy, is this even true in your MB vs Block equations? Do you believe MB to be more than occasionally preferable in the here-and-now?

Block vs MB is a big one. MB is definitely more than occasionally preferable in the here-and-now, it's hard to call as to which is best so I vary that choice depending on team/feel/length of league/opponents etc. Also Guard fits into that equation, sometimes I take Guard before Block but I don't think I've ever had MB and Guard before Block.

That makes sense. Among other things, Block and Guard combo, and MB and Block combo, but Guard and MB do not.
