Very true.

I often talk about Lizardmen development, but it's heavily league dependent:

e.g.
FUMBBL Blackbox: TV matched, heavy bash environment:
Saurus, doubles - dodge
Saurus, skill tree - below 1500 TV, mb/block on all 6, above 1500 TV, block then MB/guard
Skink: Sidestep then diving tackle then sack if no double, block on doubles (maybe with a dp or a kick)

In White Isle League (a scheduled league), the first saurus I got past block got tackle, all the others having block as first skill and I don't regret that at all, as my division had 3 elves and a amazon team in it.

Similarly, in FUMBBL, we tend to slate anyone that takes Pass Block (and not just because it isn't implemented on FUMBBL yet :D) because people on FUMBBL don't pass. If your league passes a lot, then passblock might be your thing.

111 completions through 3+ weeks (26 games played) in a 16 team league. That's over 4 completions per game....and probably over 5 passes attempted per game.

That's a lot. I think dode had some stats from Cyanide that showed much lower numbers, my own league is currently around 1.2 completions per game (over 80 games).

From that thread:
"To summarise for those who can't be arsed to look at the data, of 36,780 matches there were 30,710 (83.4%) which actually had passes happen successfully (there is no way to see if passes were attempted but failed). That means that each team on average makes 0.70 passes per game, or roughly two passes every 3 games. Totalpassing "yardage" was 584,264, with each "yard" being half a square. The mean length of a pass-plus-catcher-running combo is 11.3 yards, or 5-6 squares. This suggests that the passes themselves are, on average, short."
